Chinese Restaurant. Crap food.
Not all the waiters and waitresses wear roller skates - just the ones bringing the food from the kitchen. You have some at your table who do not.

Its called the Golden Dragon, right hand side at Km 1 on the Bangna-Trad road.
Kareoke rooms and "twee" chinese show in the evenings.
I have had the pleasure of food poisoning from the fried duck.
Last year I organised a Kareoke party for 28 people...wine, beer, wiskey etc. the bill came to
24,000, and they still charged us 60 baht for a broken glass.
When I told them to piss off, the waitress said they would deduct it from her wages if we didn't pay.
I've never been back - won't allow any of my people to go back - and wouldn't touch the place with a 20 foot barge pole.....but its full every weekend with the tourists!

Uh...bro Samthedog, you mean that place was still open a year ago??? I tought it was dead and done long before! For what it deserved.....only few waitresses were worthy of a look....food, a total crap!

sorry to report, caronte but yes, still open, I'm afraid!
They have re-invented themselves with the tourist show. Little Chinese/thai dancers.
Mostly Chinese or Thai tourists from some hotels in town, by the bus load. They get a cheap deal, I'm told.

Wouldn't be a totally bad concept for a bar though. The girls could wear cute little costumes and roll about the stage and bar. Teasingly of course.

There used to be a restaurant in Bangkok called "Tham Nak Thai" that called itself the largest restaurant in the world (per Guiness Book) and had waiters on skates. It closed down around 96-97 and catered primarily to tourists by featuring costumes and dances from different areas of Thailand.
The new place "Golden Dragon" caters almost exclusively to busloads of Chinese tourists and serves total crap for food. Not even worth going to see as a novelty.

Unlikely that they'll be going out of business anytime soon. Not with their profit margin. If you operate on property that you wholly own in Thailand, it's difficult to go out of business with the low cost of labor, electric, and water overhead.
