Best food in the world if you like red meat.
There is one on Samui called Zicos..but looking for one here in BKK.
Several cuts of beef,chicken,pork and fish are roasted slowly on a revolving spit over open fire and they come around to your table and serve you as much as u can consume..all u can eat.....AMAZING..
Anybody?!?

Try Fogo Vivo by Gaysorn plaza. I think it was around $20 for dinner. Not bad for the price and good atmosphere. I think most girls would be impressed by the place, however I went with the boys because we wanted to pig out. If you do bring a girl, make sure she is dressed properly.

Fogo Vivo is in the basement of the Intercontinental by Gaysorn. I've been to Brazil 3 times and this place was overpriced and subpar. It is very chic design though and 'high class', but I found the meat not even attempted to be marinated and seasoned properly, unsat.
The only other churrasco in town that I know of, I can't remember the name offhand but its on the second floor of the Asia Hotel. It's half the peice and the food is twice as good. It gets pretty busy, some foreigners but mostly Thais.

I tried out Fogo Vivo and the selection of meat is not good and the meat mostly too dry. Can hardly compare this to the real churrasco in Brasil that in Brasil they soak many of the meats in the red wine for days before they grill them. This Fogo Vivo probably got their name from Fogo de Chao, a very good churrascaria chain in Sao Paulo but the quality difference is no comparison.
The other one that I just remember its called Rio Grill at Asia hotel. I have been to Asia Hotel a few times but still did not have the chance to try this Rio Grill.. I will try it this week and post a review.

Well Brasilian words but probably like in Rome it is better to eat the local fare. ie. Thai ?
There are some Churrascarias in London and I've heard they are quite good. It is all down to the quality of the meat. They don't grade meat in the UK but they do in South Africa, that is probably why the Boerewors and Biltong are so good.
I hope one day to try the real article in Brasil but generally I am not a big meat eater.

A Garden, at the end of soi 51, puts together an exquisite churrasco every Friday and Saturday evening, for a mere Bt500 per head. They have an almost entirely Thai clientele- and a well heeled one at that- but there is normally not more than a third of the tables occupied.
The owner-chef studied the culinary arts in Europe and was surely at the top of her class because everything they present is superb. Where others found disappointment at Fogo Vivo, as did I, you will find nothing but delight at A Garden.

I'm not exactly an expert on Brazilian food but the Rio Grill at the Asia hotel was very good. Small but well ran it sits on the second floor lobby. Meal comes in about 8 courses, at least when I was there October 2005.

Rio Grill in Asia Hotel is a poky, dark, no atmosphere place, which thankfully serves up a good Brazillian BBQ buffet, I really enjoyed the food, the staff were very freindly and attentive, but the place was a dump.

@penbelly, I wish, my budget doesn't allow for that, seriously though, the hotel was okay, I only saw the lobby area, but this little place was really dingy. Maybe I caught them on a bad day ? Or maybe you caught them on a good day ?
