Last fall in Rainbow 4 one night a drunken Aussie regaled me with tales of the French inspired cuisine in both Vietnam and Cambodia. Now I am well aware of the history of French Indochina and the dishes it inspires but are there any good restaurants in BKK that specialize in it? And is it that good or was my buddy from down under excessively inebriated?

actually I think theres 2, le dalat and le dalat indochine
i been to the latter one, very nice, more of a romantic place, its like a big house done up as a restaurant.
worth a look anyway

Le Dalat Indochine and Le Dalet, a few blocks apart from each other on Soi 23 Suk, are consolidating at Le Dalat Indochine. We ate at Le Dalat last night and were so informed. I personally like (d) Le Dalat better, less "Frenchy" and much cheaper.
