Thanks to high season- everything seems to be full up- I managed to get a bungalow room at Paton Villa righ ton the beach road.
Has anybody been here or heard anything about it- seems to be quit nice on the website. I'm not worried about girl friendly since i'm coming with my burmese gf and using the room for extracurricullar activities is out of the question anyway.
Just wanted to know if its as nice as it sounds or have I been completely gyped.

Some of the new rooms look good. I did go diving with some people who didn't like the place.
Remember that you cab drive will have great deals that he can get on his mobile going into town. Even better than http://www.Latestays.com. Do you homework and know the spots as the driver can save you some money. Make sure you get free breakfast as part of the deal.
Have fun. Good tip for tailor is King Fashion right on beach road near Soi Bangla, ask for Robert and tell him Jimmy sent ya (mobile 01-956-1637). Who knows who will be in Patong you are there!

As you didn't say what your rate was... all things are relative...
What HJ says are correct...
I booked through latestays also... so got a pretty good price... It's set back from the street so pretty quiet. I don't know about the bungalows as I had a room over the shops which were well kept (and fairly new)... Breakfast was so so... travel desk was convienent, pool was ok... and you can't beat the location...
So depending on the rate you are paying (and your standards), you should find it acceptable...

The bungalow suite is costing me 2800 b per night- includes breakfast and taxes etc. It is a bit pricey and about double what I would have liked to pay but it looks nice and since its my first time there I woul dlike to stay somewhere nice. Way over my budget though. You guys have any other recomendations for a couple. Someplace walkingdistance to patong beach and not way back in the hills.
will try latestays also.

Not that great of a place but the Bungies did look good.
They have a security man at night as you'll walk down a darkish shopping arcade that closes about midnight.
Watch out for agressive Lady Boys on Beach Road at night!
( I can't wait for Kleponite to murky at this good info)
