Actually that is a very good price (yeah I know you can fly cheaper if you get lucky) but, honestly, I have never flown to Phuket as cheaply as that and I have a house there.
I doubt any additional saving will be worth the hassle of finding it

Ditto. I adjusted my trip by one day and halved the price. The key is being flexible with your dates and booking early before the rates go up. In the scheme of things 4900 baht isn't bad. After checking alternate dates, I would just take it as waiting any longer will make it more expensive.

I flew both Air Asia and Orient Air. Orient was cheaper plus they had nicer planes. I got my ticket at the airport. They have 3 flights each day - morning, afternoon, and evening. Sometimes they have specials at really cheap rates.

Holidays highest, weekends high, weekdays m-th lowest prices with both depature and return always anywhere you fly in the world.
Except when SARS was around I got a Cathy from LAX - BKK for the overly price of $165 USA last year cause I always watched expedia, yahoo etc
I'll never see that again. $725 now
