Can anyone recommend a place in Phuket for a couple days this month that offers Wi-Fi or wired DSL in the room? Would like to stay reasonable maybe 2000b a night or so.

They not only come with adsl but the computer also.
It is a bit less then you wanted to pay so am not sure if it is upmarket enough for what you want.
Book early they only have 3 rooms, one per floor

I was there last month: I whinged that the net computer in my room could not run Google Earth. Next morning at 0900 the boss took it away, upgraded it (video card maybe) and by late morning it was fully functional (to coin a phrase). Great service, and it is not so much friendly as totally uninterested: the stairs to the rooms are acessed by a private door to which the guest has a key. So no security checks either, but can't have everything. And despite its location in a busy area, the actual Soi is surprisingly quiet. I can recommend it.

Family Mansion 2 at the corner of Rat-U-Thit road and Sainamyen has wifi internet and you can pick up three other wifi connection in there.
