MLAY consider yourself lucky that nothing happened to you. These LBs are more than poisonous and very light fingered. I agree with NOKNA, Paradise strip is good for gays only.
The Boat bat comes highly recommended but apart from that all are dangerous looking. By the way check out the new star wars (formerly shark). They are staying open till 3am and plenty of desperate girls.

Hi guys, let me tell that
in the last 10 years nothing really changed in Patong...
Things can change a little, season by season, but when LB have little business and have to pay the rent, they get aggressive.
The location might be different: 6 years ago, when the only afterhour was Safari, I remember many drunk farangs crying for missing their wallets and bottles fights everynight after 4am.
Patong was a Paradise then as it is now (for who is not too innocent)

hi i have stayed many times at the hotel paradise inn just inside the paradise complex .the hotel is very guest friendly, and polite and helpful.last time i stayed there payed about 600.no pool though.never had aproblem with the lb or gays.one night went to a gay bar with tg just for acouple of beers(partied out) and had agoog laugh with the lb and found them polite and funny.

Just got an update from the Phuket Gazette saying that Star Wars and Tiger pub along with a lot of smaller bars have closed for a short while due to a lack of business .
One was quoted as saying he will not reopen til the next high season.
Man it must be quiet over there now, could say even a buyers market at the moment.
About the only good thing to do with Paradise complex are the sellers at night time......picked up some good shirts there once(and no I didn't lift any shirts).
Other than that I try to stay well away from that part of town.

With the closing of Safari...( abit out of town and had some problems with the law) it look like Star Wars will be the tiop of the heap. The Songkran time was not anywhere like 2002. With the new stage deal on Soi Bangla etc there was still a small turn out.... shitek, 150 bikers seem a big turn out but the every Soi on Bangla had more people than the street party.....
I'd going to say that a special interest group got a lot of action with politicos getting little milage from the show! Much bigger in 2002.
May was very quite...Picking are very good right now and my intel indicates that June will be everybit as fun...
The picking are good, although some girls have gone home the are still way more babes than punters.
