Funny you should mention the geckos Nokna since I didn't even bring that issue up but you're right there's a lot of them too. Fridge full of beer? TV with many channels? Not an issue with me really or the reason I chose the guesthouse eventually (although the guesthouse did have the BBC!) No for me was the issue of cleanliness and state of the room. I moved into a nicely tiled clean room with new furniture and clean curtains/shutters etc. The price is a minor issue really. Yeah I was a newbie and I paid 1000 baht. Nokna you've never paid more than 700 baht. To be honest the money only became an issue because of what I was getting in return. A natural nice looking environment? Lots of flora? Are you sure you're not working for the Sansabai Bungalows marketing department? When were you last there? The "lake" as you call it is surrounded by litter! and I saw very little flora there. Anyway each to their own as you say. The guesthouse I stayed at was called Breakpoint and since they give you a key which also opens the front door it's almost like having an apartment. I'd thoroughly recommend it.

nokna I have just been reading this and other threads you have contributed to on hotels. Your main motivation to stay at the sansabai is the cheap price your paying, my reasons to stay at a hotel are comfort, clenliness, and value for money. Looking at other Phuket hotel sites all 3 of these things are widely available. Maybe you havent been open minded enough when other people comment about the pros and cons of other places? When you gave me your recomendation on the place had it of mentioned the wild life that you share the room with I would have not booked it, your review was not a balanced one, im not saying bogglers is either, but between the two of them I have made a decision not to stay there, the risk to my holiday being spoilt by a bad hotel is to high.
