Novotel - joiner fee of 1500Bt pointed out to me (in a loud voice...) by the girl at check-in. Do not know whether they enforce, decide it wasn't worth the risk. Not keen on this hotel, there are plenty better for the price.
BTW - Baan Yin Dee must definitely upmarket, but price very reasonable. great place, small new hotel, only 20 or so rooms. Relaxing, quiet, well-run, no joiner fee. Highly recommended!

You can book a 2 bed room, 1 bed room or pool terrace rooms and that will be 4 star. They have some budget rooms but no private pool access. Those with pool terrace rooms are allow night pool access. Yes people are in there own private area sans swim suits and getting very friendly. Most rooms are away from foot traffic as is mine being about 30m from guest walkways. With the very low bookings right no I would say you can insist on a no joiner fee. You can take your Bar Fine to breakfast etc. http://www.tharapatong.com will get you there !

Sapience - You mean the C&N Hotel ? If so it sure ain't upmarket but it certainly is girl friendly. Clientele seem to be of the "cheap charlie & sex tourist" brigade - I stay there almost exclusively these days  email address is info@cnhotelpatong.com and the web page is http://www.cnhotelpatong.com/inquiries.htm
No response? Yeah that's them alright. Try again and TELL them you want a confirmation email. Also make sure that they book you into the hotel and not the resort (it is out of town and more expensive). Enjoy.

I stayed at the Diamond Cliffs Resort some time ago and it was NOT friendly at all. Wouldn't even allow a BG in--registered, or not.

I was just at the Banyan Tree, and wouldn't say it's girl friendly, but it's girl neutral. I didn't see any other punters there, mostly Japanese couples.

Was at SunsetBeach in July. They claimed a joiner fee over email, but was able to negotiate out of it. I don't think it would have been enforced anyway. The night guard asked if I had a TGF and when I said "not yet" he just laughed and nodded. No problems....
I'm looking at bringing the AGF on a trip and taking a tg back with us - so 3 in the room might be harder to avoid an 'extra-bed' charge. I'm looking at Avantika, Impiana Phuket Cabana, Club Andaman, Sea Pearl. If Avantika has the "your room, your business" attitude, I'll happily spoil the girls.
Any comments?

Ban Yin Dee real nice place. Big rooms, big bath tub and great staff. Free taxi to town as well.
No problem with the ladeez.

There are 2 Novotel Hotels in BKK. The Novotel Lotus, which is GF, and the Novotel Siam which is definitely not GF.
