I have always stayed at the Thara Patong. This time, after rumours of the 1000 Baht joiner fee, I e-mailed them and asked if they would waive the joiner fee for me. They said yes. I am going in late April and hope they are true to their word.

Wrong heading to post under BWTF,
Stayed at "The Residence Apartments" at Kalim Bay, (just past Novotel) 5 min from Soi Bangla.
3000Baht per night for a 2 Bedroom Apartment (at GF) 10 Ft from the pool. Had no trouble taking any number of ladies back and very private. Booked through the IT and got picked up at the airport. Slip the guard 100Baht and you can swim and shag in the pool later at night, as long as she doesn't howl too loud.
Rating 3 * and the maid serviced it each day. Unfortunately she didn't service me, although I wish.

Heard the same thing about JOYNER at Thara Patong. I say a post that one can request a variance and no problem. Good news as those pool side room seem to be very nice. I look at the web site

pay 3 stay 4. WOW...That's as good as latestays.com
