I'm here in Patong and Cristins has indeed been closed every night when I've gone past there.
I have not asked why they are closed, but I would find it incredible if it was because of water damage from the Tsunami. They are well back from the seafront and most of the other businesses in that immediate vicinity are all operational.
Perhaps lots of the girls went home and added to the lack of punters, they decided to shut up shop for a while. I'll see if I can get an answer and report back

Your intrepid reporter here on the ground in Patong has the answer to the riddle of Cristins closure.
It is still closed as we speak, so I went to the mobile phone shop next door.
The guy there was very helpful in answering my enquiry. It seems that although some of the wave did reach Cristins, it was not much at all and certainly not enough to warrant the parlour's closure. However, behind Cristins, is the Patong Resort hotel, I think it is. It is owned by the same management as Cristins apparently and being closer to the Beach, it did suffer worse damage. They have no electricity there and the power for Cristins came through the resort's supply. The Resort Hotel is being refurbished and will reopen perhaps in a couple of months. At the same time, they will probably refurbish the upstairs of Cristins too. Lots of the girls went home when the Tsunami struck, so they decided to remain closed until this work has been done. The businesses to the either side of Cristins did have electricity and I asked why Cristins did not. Their power came from across the road by cable fed through their windows. Cristins however, relies on an air conditioned environment which requires three cables apparently, instead of the single one for light and power.
So there you have it. It will probably be closed another couple of months and will possibly open simultanously with the Resort Hotel.

Your intrepid reporter has further info on Cristins. I actually picked up a Cristins beauty last night in Bangla. She confirmed everything that I wrote above, but expected to be back at work there in about one month.
Lots of girls went home from there, but the remainder are working as freelancers or attached to bars.
It should have been a great night with her, but unfortunately she is too tied in to the mentality of ST and starfished after the first round. I told her that she had to adjust her thinking to the BG way and accept that if a client paid her for LT, he was entitled to more than one pop, or else he would be adjusting her payment downwards, which is what I did.
I hope that she gets the message, or she is in for a rude awakening. Competition here will soon realign her thinking.

I'm pretty sure that I read a report here somewhere from somebody on Phuket that visited Cristins recently, but I can't find it. I made a mental note that it was re-opened. Certainly, when I was there in January, April was the intended opening month.

I was in Patong over Easter and Cristin was open. Had never been before but the place clearly used to have many more girls prior to December 26. The girls that have returned (the Mamasan explained that many were too scarred to come back) are generally older than you'd expect and at a minimum of THB 2,200 up to THB 2,800 for 90 minutes, it's top pricing for what was in my experience a pretty mediocre soapy. I must confess to not really being a soapy fan, but my mates had had a good time on a previous visit prior to the tsunami, so I thought why not.
They felt their previous experience was better as well. Only time will tell whether more girls will return to Cristin, but at the moment and with it being low season, I can't see things changing for a while.
As a side note there is a door immediately to the left of the main soapy entrance where Cristin girls provide TTM and OM. Although again the general age of the girls was 30+, the quality of the TTM was pretty good and thehappy ending was applied with great skill 
I'll be back for a short trip at the end of May, so I'll have a look to see if things have changed much and report.

Stopped in a couple of times two weeks ago (10 PM & 3 PM) each time not much of selection in fishbowl. The ages of the girls appeared to be on the higher side. Although was able to get a 21 and a 24 year old on my two visits. There is a 3 tiered price system, 1800 Bht, 2100 Bht and 2400 bht girls. I think I paid 2400 bht for my soapy. Each girl has her own room and is decorated to her taste, the rooms were nice. Each girl gave a very good soapy, BBBJ, and nice Thai lay.

as I write this I am 2 Weeks away from walking through the door (to the Minute).
after a near 24 Hour journey from front door to hotel nothing better then a nice soapy to get all refreshed and feeling good.
and the 2 releases I can normally manage add the icing on the cake.......
