Hmm... I'm no veteran.
I had 2 weeks in Phuket in 2003 and 21 days in Bangkok last summer.
Bangkok was fantastic, but still: The two most stunning girls I EVER BEEN WITH I met at some beer bar in Patong.
And like some other mentioned: If hotel, food etc. can seem a bit expensive (relatively), the girls (barfine and LT) are very reasonable.

Why the eff do people go on about the prices in Phuket?
It is not a effing issue!
It is so effing cheap compared to any western country that you shouldnt worry about it.
In the last 15 months I have spent 13 weeks in BKK, it took me 2 days to come to terms with how cheap it is to live there.
On day 2 I got ripped off for 50bhat by a taxi!
50 effing bhat! its effing nothing!
I get pissed off at the guys in here who have been to the LOS and then moan about spending the price of a meal in thier home country on a beutiful Thai girl who has spent the night with them, sucking and f***ing them just to make a living!
Stay the f*** away if you cant afford to pay £20-$40 30euros for the privilage of having a 20 yr old girl with a great smile in your bed for the night!

Ukguy. Thanks for you completely useless response. As I said in my thread the level of info on Phuket is understandably not to the standard of Bangkok. I do take the trouble to read up however the information was a bit dated. However, fortunately most members either did not respond or where helpful.
I have no doubt you will never need to ask a question as you already know everything or will dedicate days and weeks researching every bit of information you need.
