Although BKK is the muff-diving capital of the world, there is also a good scuba shop here called Wahoo Diving.

They are on Suk Soi 26, but very, very far down the Soi. All their instructors are Thai but almost all of them speak very, very good English, as most Thais that dive are "upper class" and are educated in English.
I suggest you go into the shop and talk to them. There are other shops around as well, but I have no experience with them.
