In another forum I saw this "Felt so sorry for the locals as Patong is empty compared to same time last year. "
Last year (august) about all the bars was open at Soi Bangla and alot of girls everyware - I'm just worry that the place i empty...

there is not so many people at he moment, some bars closed, and if you know the places, yesterday night Banana 100 people, Tiger closed, Ex shark 100 ladies and no farang, some people in Tai Pan.
If you are going there only to meet ladies, you wil have a huge choice !

WOW...I hear things are getting better, via Phuket Gazzete..The truth seems to be still very quiet....
April, May, and June were nothing like pre 9/11 but also worse than 2002. Have spoke to a few "Ladies of the Soi" via mobile and they report that there is no Farang ATM's in town. I would say to charge on and have more boom for your baht!..Be mindful of traveling on foot after the bars close in times of low farang counts. Had a friend pull a little hand out of his pocket in the "Soi Eric Gauntlet" not fending off a free hand job as he described he moment.

Wow must be buyers market now.
Last year in August every night was like Banana 500, Tiger packed with maybe 1000 guest, Shark was closed.
I hope the girls dont pack the bags and goes home..
BTW 2weeks to go, then I'm in BKK 2days and after that 2 weeks in Phuket.. I'll get you on site reports then.

Banana,Tiger etc never interested me.
i just preferred the old fashioned bars and Go-Go's along Seadragon and Eric.
no matter how quiet the town was,there were more than enough girls for me.
