Being an American I always find pig ignorant europeans less offensive than pig ignorant Americans. Can't say why though. I guess I am deep down afraid that we'll mess this place up if we reach sufficient density.

Man you must have some good eye sight! OK I know what a Fat man looks like cos I see one in the mirror every moning. But what does a 'Pig ignorant man' look like?
I do agree with you that money does come into making pulling an absolute No 10 very easy, but aside from the P4P scene you might be amazed at what the ladies see in a man.
The young good looking studs and I was one many years ago are seen as 'wham bang thank you mams' one hit wonders and there off. Us older guys are seen as steady providers and while they take good care of us we dont stray so much!!!!
With our years of experience we tend to see any scams coming or have experienced them before and so are on guard. I have mellowed with age and as a result a lot more laid back, the girls seem to pick up on this.
I have been living, working and holidaying in various parts of Asia for the last 5 years and can tell you I have not gone hungry for GF company and I'm not talking P4P.
During my many stays in LOS I have found lots of girls in the trade that want to spend time with me on their days off, where no BFs or tips are involved they are just happy to have a day/night out as any ordinary girl would enjoy, the sex afterwards can be truly great as they say their thank you's, much better than say 2 nights before when I had paid them for it!!! Hello Craigoz (mate),
No, I am not married and don't worry, I never will be. Not really in love either but getting along OK while living with my TG.
Living and working in Phuket and developing a real respect and admiration for the wonderful Thai people. Becoming very jaded with the overwhelming emphasis on sex in a place like Patong (I think this topic should be called 'Patong' because f_ck-all brothers would have ever set foot outside of Patong and then proclaim that they have been to Phuket) - that's why I have hardly ever been there.
Also becoming very weary of the overwhelming difference between a TG actually liking you for who you are and not the fact that you are a wealthy farang.
Living on a Thai income really helps a lot in this respect. I could live easily for 2 weeks on 1,000 baht so the thought of giving that away for a few hours of meaningless sex no longer enters the equation.
I guess I'm a changed man.

...whether they come slim or with beer bellies, fully clothed or half naked, drunk or sober, tall or short, white, black, red or yellow........I surely appreciate all visitors to Phuket, as long as they behave reasonably well, are not violent and do not get into criminal activities......because at the end of the day they pay may salary!
Think about it, you guys who keep on complaining about unsightly tourists invading "our" island.

UK Punter - You know what I mean, you can tell the "Pig Ignorant" type and although I said "Fat", I was just quoting someone else in this post. I dont like disrespecting anyone just because they are fat, bald, short or tall, infact due to any physical fact.
But at the same time, people who are ignorant, selfish and genrally w@nkers, I dont have the time of day for. You can usually spot this type walkin down the street without speaking to them, just from their manerisms. On the contrary some people show no signs of being a W@nker, but upon speaking to them it is clear they are. The way a person walks for example tells you a lot about that persons attitude/mood.
I dont profess to be a master of body language.
But yeah in reply to your quote, I consider myself to have good eye sight when it comes to spotting a "Pig Ignorant man".
The point I suppose I was trying to make is that the TG must know they are a W@nker, so I would have thought they must have charged more due to this liability...

I am interested in Whisper's take on things. I disagree with him but respectfully. I do not think less of the Thai people for spending time on Patong. To the contrary I found this for myself to be a life changing event. In fact it was just this experience that led me to my deep affection and respect for the Thai people.
Without this experience I would be oblivious to the rich and beautiful history and culture of Thailand. I guess what I am trying to say is that this experience has sparked a desire in me to know more about Tahiland and the Thai people. Without having gone to Patong I would be no more aware of Thailand than any other American who has never been there. I would know only what I saw on TV or read in the newspapers, or worse yet what I heard from workmates snickering about the adventures of their tenth removed uncle's cat's cousin and a romp there that he had in '69 during the war.
Having been to Thailand I am truly happier about my life and I feel more fullfilled. It wasn't just the TGFs either though they are wonderful. I was never one to go without company here, it is just that the whole culture is so truly satisfying. In fact as many say I plan to live their someday and have been organizing my life according since my first visit. I will be returning this summer to see Thailand again.
Just my two cents worth.
