Planning a trip to Thailand/Philippines in July and was thinking about visiting Phuket first time. C&N hotel seems like good option, GF as I understand and close to action. I could not find the "pay 2 get 1 free" option on their webpage. Is this by using their booking form or by making reference to it in separate mail to the hotmail account? As for Airport transfer, do they offer this upfront or do I have to ask for it? I studied this section and it seemd C&N hotel is best option; what "star" rating would this hotel have? I take there's an elevator in the hotel?

Hi Viking77, I would give it a 2 star rating. Very basic hotel, but very convenient place to stay. Not sure about the airport transfer, because I always stay in Karon for the first few nights before I hit up Patong. It was my first time staying at the C&N on my last trip out and they picked me up from my hotel in Karon free of charge (and they were the ones that offered).

Hey Viking77 'Pay for 2 get 1 free' still good !!. On another check looks like it's a 'pop-up' so if you have Windows XP or any other anti-pop-up software you might want to disable it The 2 for 1 deal is with the C&N resort & Spa, better quality than the C&N Hotel, yet also GF Alternatively just email them and ask for the current specials on offer (cnhotelpatong.com). It may take a couple goes to get your email through but when it does they are more than obliging. When you book a room they will automatically ask if you want the airport transfer! Not sure about the elevator at the Hotels - old hands may wish to comment

There's an elevator at both the hotel and resort. However, the resort's elevator has a very unique smell.

Thanks for the information dagul and tezza, much appriciated. I don't get any pop-up with 2+1 offer on their webpage, but will E-mail them on the info@cnhotelpatong.com address and make refernce to it. I considered the resort, which I could read is better standard, but I wanted a hotel where I don't need a taxi to go for a beer during the day or to a starbucks, and there I understand that the C&N hotel is just in city centre, whereas I with the resort will need trasportation. As for level/standard of the C&N, would this compare about to the Flipper's in Pattaya?

I did use the form on their webpage but got no reply until now? No mention about the rate in the form, but should I expect about 8-900THB/night and then the Stay2-1free night option, ending with price of approx. 600/night? One note; is there a special floor/side one should opt for, to avoid noise or looking at dirty backyards?

When I stayed there I was a walk-in and paid 600 baht/night (in June/July). I'm hoping I can get the same rate on my visit next month. Viking77, could you please let us know how much you end up paying on your upcoming stay - thanks. With regards to where the best rooms are located: One side have rooms facing the soi where the front entrance is located. From your balcony you can see things such as (massage girls, tourists, restaurants, etc...). It's a small soi, nothing crazy. I don't recall any problems with noise though... On the other side of the hall the rooms face a somewhat bland view. Nothing to be seen, just some run-down buildings. Probably more quiet on that side. I stayed in rooms on both sides. I prefer the soi side just because I find it more interesting people watching from my balcony.

I'll keep you posted dagul, but I just read some very distrubing news: Apparently there's major contruction work ongoing just opposite to C&N hotel, and if get this confirmed I will prefer a different hotel - would you know any good hotel in same area?

I can confirm, There is major construction going on in front of the hotel. It is next to the old Famnily Mansion hotel ( is closed now but the new one Family Mansion 2 is open I saw ). So be aware of heavy construction noise in your room if you are in the front side of the hotel.

Hey are you guys talking about the C&N Resort & Spa or the C&N Hotel. I stayed at the C&N Resort & Spa 23rd - 25th June and yes there is a SMALL construction operation in progress across the road - nothing to be worried about - didn't disturb slumber - and I am a light sleeper Recommend the Resort & Spa. There were 6 (guests) all up I counted over the period I was there. I came from the Patong Merlin Hotel (yee Gad's, Hotel packed full of Australian families - BHT800 joiner - bastards!), to The C&N Resort & Spa (10 minutes walk away) - virtually empty, GF, modern, where you can make your girl moan all night and no-one will hear you Popped around to the C&N Hotel. Saw no constuction there - however very close to Bangla Rd if you don't want to pay the rip-off obligatory BHT100 for a tuk-tuk back to C&N Resort & Spa (Just used to the Pattaya Baht Bus 10-20 BHT I guess)
