I really like staying at C&N Hotel. However, I recommend never to stay at the VIP room they have during the hot season. I was there for 3 days and it was extremely hot. It would require 3 hours before it cools down. My friend stayed at the standard room and it was smaller so it only requires 15 mins to cool. JFYI

Having stayed there twice in the last two month the reception area has a complete refit, looks very modern and flash.
Paid 600 bht for my room ( not the small one ) I asked if I paid up front for 20 days what price, as I said got it for 600.
Booked for xmas and was told 1300 bht as I`m a regular, I`ll try again when I check in with pay up front price and see what happens.Staying 16 days.
Beretta.
Forgot to mention they now have in room safe.

That's too bad. I walked in with no reservation in back in 07 and got 800 baht per night.
The last time I stayed in Phuket was the C&N resort for 1000 baht/night. I stopped into the hotel and saw the lobby construction which usually means one thing. They will target bigger wallets and raise prices.
People like nice shiny lobbies and will pay more to walk through one to an ordinary room, I'm afraid. I guess they feel triumphant or something. Dumb asses.

I used to fully endorse the C&N Resort in the past as a great place to stay even though it is not right next to the action. As I always have a motorbike it was never an issue for me. However, I don't think I would stay here again due to the pool always being so dirty.
On my last few visits I checked out the hotel and each time found the pool to be a dirty greenish color with a lot of dirt and dust floating on the top. During my last visit, I stayed at the hotel next door (for over a month) where I could see the pool on a daily basis and it always appeared filthy. Their pool for me was one of their main selling points. It's a decent size, has somewhat of a view (less and less each year due to all the surrounding construction), a man-made waterfall, and a jacuzzi section. The hotel is also in a good location if you are going around a lot as it has easy access to beach, second, third, and Nanai road. Unfortunately, one dip in that pool and you could very easily be wheezing yourself through the rest of your holiday. So if having a pool is a big deal to you and you want to stay at the Resort, I hope they clean it more often than what I saw.
Side note - The massage shop at the C&N Hotel (the shop in the front) is probably one of the best places in Patong to get a legit massage (particularly their foot massage) in terms of price and quality. Talking to one of the staff there I found out their massage shop accounts for the majority of the hotels income so the place does very well. Worth a visit if you are in town.
