when i got home i was delighted.
i used to have one of the mobile phones which had e-mail access and when i switched it on,Bai had mailed me twice before i got home.
i was happy for days with all the thoughts that she loved me as well and luckily enough,we have an internet cafe at work,so i could mail her back and wait for hers.
i was really suffering from the post LOS blues.
we kept in touch and i took the plunge and bought a computer for my home and things were much bettter.
she was telling me she wanted to be with me in england and i was so much in love with her,that i started to look into the immigration process.
i was in daily contact with the embassy in BKK Ưand found out all the requirements that Bai needed for at least a visitor's visa.
told her everything she needed to do and the things she would have to get.
contact with her then got less and less and she seemed to be doing nothing her end and i got frustrated and then angry with her.
we had had such a good time together and i thought her feelings for me were genuine,but now as a more experienced visitor,i realise she done her job very well.
she knew i had liked her,and she done enough to make sure i BF'd her everynight.
after all she was the first thai girl i had really met,but the experience was good.
i wonder how many other men were treated like this by her?.
well i went for it and booked a 2 week holiday and told her roughly when i would arriving.
but i gave her the wrong date as i wanted to arrive early and surprise her.
10 days before i was due to fly,she mailed me and asked if i could postpone my trip for a month,as she had to go home to Surin to look after her sick mother?.
well of course postponing was not an option and i wondered if i would ever see her again?.
weeks after leaving LOS,i touched down on Phuket and the start of my second adventrous trip.

A6 - you should read this:
What we want to know now is whether she really went back to see her mother or whether she had met another farang sponsoring her for that period of time and she didn't want a doubble booking with you comming arround for 2 weeks.
Knowing you by now, you'll let us know in due time.

Ya, I'm reading a lot of the posts and feel sadder and sadder :-( I wish I had never visited LOS at this age. Maybe in my 30s, but not now.
Warning to any 20-25 year olds:
1. Don't go to Thailand.
If you do go, then:
2. Don't go with your Farang gf.
3. Don't come in contact with any TG who work in the "tourism" industry. They are lovely, only you will lose your sanity and believe me, the pain is just not worth it.

Nokna, thanks so much for re-posting these reports. They should be required reading for any newbie prior to going to LOS.
"Leaving On A Jet Plane" is the perfect song to express that bittersweet feeling you get when you fall for your first BG. The airport farewell is perfectly evoked in the lyrics:
"Kiss me and smile for me,
Tell me that you'll wait for me,
Hold me like you'll never let me go."
BG's excell at everything except the "wait for me" part. Of course we, in turn, are true to the "don't know when I'll be back again" part. Tit for tat, I guess.
God, I can't wait to go back. In the meantime, your TR's are the perfect antidote to the LOS Blues. Thanks again.

I just wonder how many of us could have written Nokna's post virtually word for word.
The only difference I had, was the girl I was head over heels with (and still have a thing about now, even though I don't take her any more) didn't lie to me.
I told her I arrive August to see her she said it is no good she is going to Singapore for two weeks with a customer. Can I come later.
Had a shitty argument withe her and said what is the difference He pay or I pay. Again honesty yes but if I come later she will have customer for one month and have lots of money to send home.
In the end I said f_ck you I will see someone else.
About 4 days before I had to travel she was leaving messages on my mobile (Call me) which I refused to answer when I arrived guess what!! customer had changed his mind and not taken her.
Neither did I. Why I will never know because then I ruined any chance of getting back with her.
I saw her again on my last trip April 2003. But we just said hello how are you etc etc.
I wonder if I offered enough money if she would go with me again.
How much do you reckon guys 3000 thbt for a night.?

but i have been back and things got worse.
i've told the story of my 1st trip and have now started my 2nd trip stories,you will see how things develop.

i have had 4 airport goodbyes and they are never easy.
ok,people say not to take the special ones with you,but you have to say goodbye somewhere and whereever it is,it is hard.
some of the words in the song are pretty apt.
