we slept late and as usual i loved waking up beside Nok,she looked so beautiful while she was asleep.
i had a shower and when i rejoined her in the bed,she looked at me and just said 'you want cum'?.
i just kissed her and she went to work on me and i was soon satisfied.
we packed and left our bags in reception,ready to be picked up later that night.
i was then handed the train tickets i had inquired about.
before i planned this trip i had decided to take Sa home to Buriram and had looked at the train timetable and decided this was the way i wanted to travel.
but now i was taking Nok,not Sa,and Nok lived a lot further north in Nong Khai,and i thought the train was still the best option.
when we had checked in the previous day,i had asked how i went about getting tickets and the hotel receptionist told me it was no problem and asked a few questions about our journey.
she then sent one of the young lads to the station and he bought the tickets.
they charged me 100 baht for this service and i was impressed.
we were now all set up for our journey,but had around 6 hours to kill and asked Nok if she wanted to go to Wat Phra Kaew?,and she said yes.
i thought the easiest way to get there was to get a water taxi,so we got a taxi to the river and waited for the boat.
nothing seemed to stop and i was getting frustrated,and very hot and bothered,i had forgotten how oppressive the heat in BKK could be.
finally a boat arrived and we jumped on,but of course it was the wrong one.
instead of going up the river,it just went across the river and we just stayed on and returned to our original starting point.
Nok asked someone what the situation was,and we were told we were better to go to the next stop to get a boat upriver.
we had to walk to the Shangri-La hotel and off we went and i soon got very pissed off.
i could see the hotel,but could'nt find the way to the jetty and i soon got in a strop and grabbed Nok's hand and dragged her back to where we started.
the staff again told us where to go and we set off on foot again,and Nok was very quiet.
she could see how angry i was,but i was just so hot and thirsty and all the walking was no good for me.
but finally we found the jetty and we jumped on the boat and had the 10-15 minute ride down the river.
i loved this,a really cool breeze on the journey and it really cooled me down and i was a lot happier.
Nok noticed i was happy again and started to talk to me again and i had to apologise to her.
it had'nt been her fault.
i have much video of us travelling down the river and it is some of my best memories.
i asked a fella to take video of us together and i treasure this bit of film.
we got off at the wrong stop,the one before the palace and we had to walk the rest of the way there.
and again a problem when we got there.
the authorities at the palace were stopping anyone going in who was not dressed 'respectfully'.
by this they meant everyone had to covered from head to toe.
Nok was wearing a smart pair of trousers which ended just below the knees and open toed shoes,but this was a no go for the staff.
but they did have a system where people could 'hire' clothes in exchange for passport/CC for me or ID/Driving license for her.
i was dressed alright and no problem,but Nok had no real ID and did not drive so we had to give up.
i got chatting to a group of female backpackers from NZ and explained things to them and they were not happy.
they were outraged at the terms of leaving their passports or CC and they decided to give the palace a miss.
as did Nok and i.
we walked across the road to the stalls and got a few cans of drink,we were both parched.
we sat in the little paved area nearby and i looked at the map and suggested another little trip and Nok was ok with it.
we walked along the edge of Lumphini Park? and we passed a school.
a lot of the students were leaving and some of the girls were lovely,and i was thinking,why can't i live here?.
we ended up at the Natural History Museum and it was fantastic.
so much Thai history to look at and so many artifacts.
Nok had a thing about knives and was fascinated with all the knives and swords.
but one thing done it for her.
she saw in the brochure they had a model of a full size elephant and she was desparate to see it,she loved elephants.
i found the museum quite difficult to navigate and all the time i had Nok going on about the elephant.
we finally found the room it was in and even i was impressed.
a full size model in warring mode and she just sat there with an incredulous look on her face.
she loved it.
but finally the museum had to close and i was really disappointed,i thought this was a cool place.
we got a taxi back to the hotel and picked up our bags and they were really good,provided us with a taxi to the train station,free of charge.
and off we went for the train journey up north.
