i am going to be doing scuba instructor in phuket. i am looking to meet people, before i get down there. is there any other good sights to meet or chat with peeps?

scuba...well if you're german you'll do fine....elsewise think about customer service as handing out used bog wipes....Teh diving is not world class and neither is the service. I've taken to going out with a Japanese boat as they are more polite!
As to a great place to meet people will be over at Two Black Sheep on 2nd road.....A kiwi runs the joint and there are no BF'son the menu! plenty of folks from around town hang there. Also in heros sports bar. An Air Con place at Soi Seapearl...Brit pub like with lots of Expats!
