How do you pronounce "Phuket". I keep wanting to explain to someone about this city, but my interpretation of the pronunciation sounds rather...vulgar But, maybe I'm right!

Actually early in the year went to a half decent Thai Restaurant in Long Beach California called Phuket Thai but with a note saying its pronouced "Poo-Ket". No one seems to take offence at our poor Farang pronuciations! Certainly the least vulgar place in Thailand!

I didn't find out till a thai stripper came to my friends party last year. She also said it was pooh - ket. She also had implants the size of watermelons and her Arse hole was piecered through her butt and came out her vagina. I wonder how she keeps POOH from going through the piercing? Anyway, See yall in 70 days or as we said in the Navy, 69 and a wake up.

Correct Thai transliteration places a 'h' after a consonant if it want's it to be a hard sound (as opposed to the softer 'pb') Sadly it isn't pronounced with the 'f' sound you were thinking of. That would be too funny (if I had a sense of humour.....)
