Hey BKK 2 Nite Bros,
Goin to Phuket for a week in later August. Will do some boating/diving/fishing a bit; any good charters ? I just like day trips cause I like to party a night. How are the sights to see both day and night; intend to cruise the island a bit, see that Fantasee show, and always midnight ramble those beer bars, discos and go-go's.

To be honest, you are asking in the wrong place. I've spent a lot of time diving, but I haven't lived in Phuket for a long while now and my info is a bit out of date. I used to use Fantasea, Warm Water or South East Asia for diving. South East Asia is also a yacht charter company.
There are plenty of fishing companies and for all of the above a web search and finding your own info is the best way to go or ask the question on a Phuket discussion board. There is one.

i have mentioned the name of a friend of mine many times(you know who he is Yurune)who is very helpful in the matters SG asks about.
Soi Sansabai now has about 4 dive operators and they have much info on Fishing and suchlike. a freind of mine got his diving thingy(diploma?) in one of them and also booked for the deep sea fishing.
he had a blast.
but as Yurune says,do a search on the web,but i do have web addresses somewhere and will post them eventually.
but i will probably be away from the forum until Sunday,so if you are patient,i can look for them and send.

But nothin beats first hand sights and prior experiences.
I've been on enough boats in Alaska and California to get a decent rate and good vessel and crew with good luck and knowledge of the area.
Oh those Southern Thai women here I come. I find a lady that knows how to have fun as a day trippin escort also. I like it all over the place; especially outdoors on the beach * )

I got my PADI certification while I was in Phuket earlier this year. Most of the close dive sites are nothing special but Phi Phi was a bit more interesting. (I've done the resort courses in a few places so I have some diving experience.) My dive instructor said the best diving in that area is up towards the Similan islands - not a day trip unfortunately.
Also, keep in mind the weather in Phuket this time of year. If memory serves, you're not likely to get good water clarity conditions in August. Fishing is probably the better bet...
