Hi all,
I usually stay at The Thara Patong, but I hear that they now charge 1000B joiner. I remember seeing the Thai Friend House on my last visit. When at Pickles (on Thaweewong just North of Bangla) for a relaxing beer or two away from the action, the bathrooms are in the small loby of Thai Friend House. I never checked out the rooms. The hotel is down a side street from Pickles on the east side of Thaweewong)
Has anyone been inside the rooms?

I`ve not been there but I can reccomend a guest house we stayed in on Taweewong road, about 500m north of Bangla called Baan Pron Phateep. On the right hand side. No joiner fee, 3 types of accomodation;
Fan Room 600bt
Standard Room 1000bt
Deluxe Room 1200bt
We stayed in the standard rooms, very nice indeed, and the staff couldn`t do enough to help, you felt very safe there too.
