Anyone have any info on the firing range on Phuket?? My hubby would like to have a go when we're there. Info like where it is, how much ect. would be good!

Phuket shooting range is on the main road coming from Patong / Kata / Karon into Rawai. It is located on the right side when driving in the direction of Rawai. Driving time from Patong approx. 20 min.
Have been there about 7 years ago, was not too impressed..

Right, right, Jackrabbit- Went with the fambly, actually an elephant mini-trek farm and monkey training and exhibition center all in one.
Shot the 9mm and I thought the guy was gonna jump me he was so damned nervous and close to me. Spose I shudda took the red nose and wig hat off. Really wanted to go at it with the AK-47, but opted out and went and watched the monkeys instead.

When I was there 2 years back, there were no automatic weapons, such as AKs or M16s, as can be found in Vietnam and Cambodia. I was told they were banned after some R&R sailors fired a bunch wildly. They had an ak-47 copy that fired 22s. Pretty boring.

Why would anyone want to go to Phuket and play with a gun? I mean I like someone else to play with my gun when I am there. 
As for the prices they are outrageous. I passed the place a couple of times on the way to our dive boat. I might just be jaded though. I grew up in the country and learned to shoot a rifle when I was like 8. Years later after 4 years running around with Uncle Sam with one of the things slung over my back I sort of lost interest in the sport. 
Like I said earlier...there is a lot of other stuff to do but you should do whatever you enjoy there. It sounds like you guys have a pretty good relationship too. I think you are both fortunate.
