woke up in the morning and thought WTF...........
i had a Girl on each side of me and I was in so much pain and as I turned to my left I felt massive pain in my chest and my eye was throbbing.
i put my hand to my head and felt massive padding above my eye and I instantly recognised as a gauze pad.
i tried to get up but the chest pain was so much and I just laid back and shook the Girls to awake them.
eventually they opened their eyes and turned towards me and I struggled to recognise them.
i thought I knew one of them vaguely and asked her her name and she said Kob,i knew her from English Bar.
i asked what had happened and from all the info I gleamed during the day from various people the following happened.
there was a fight going on in the Soi (Bar) when I returned and I had seenTaa#2 being assaulted by a Guy,he had his hand around her throat and his other hand was being waved in her face and I was incensed.
Taa#2 was a real cutie,so small and defenceless and one of my Girls and no way was anyone going to hit anyone of them and I grabbed the Guy and said something like “steady on mate,no need to hit a Girl” and he promptly punched me in the face and head-butted me.
after the drunken idiots had fled,i was helped to the Bar and looked after by the Girls and they staunced the flow of blood from a cut above my eye.
Danny’s Wife had seen my ‘heroics’ and made sure I had free drinks for the rest of the night.
it seems I left the Bar at closing time and then collapsed in the middle of the Soi,striking my head on a Bar as I fell and then a table.
Girls from several Bars rushed to me and tended to me,but I was out cold.
the 2 Girls now in my room said they would take me to the Hospital and make sure I was alright.
to this day I have a vague memory of a bright light and tugging at my face and to my shame I was told I ran my hand up the Doctors leg while being treated............
she was not impressed.
the 2 Girls took me back to my room (they found the Hotel card in my wallet) and put me to bed and decided to stay to make sure I was OK.
Kob got her bag and took out some pills and forms from the Hospital.
also a bill for 1120 Baht and Kob also gave me my wallet from her bag and said everything was still there.
according to the Girls I had opened 2 new cuts above my eye when I collapsed and had 6 stitches in each cut and I had the beginnings of a beautiful black eye.
i had also cracked 2 ribs and that was why I was having so much chest pain.
by now the other Girl had introduced herself as Nok (not another one I thought) and then I was amazed,i was at deaths door and they wanted sex.......
Kob gave me a BBBJ and then got on top of me and started to grind away but no way could I do anything like that.
told the pair of them to stop,i could not do anything but they finished me with a double HJ which hurt when I came with my breathing.
they helped me to get up,shower and dressed and I gave them each one of my t-shirts to go home with.
their white England shirts were covered in blood and I said I would get the Hotel to launder them and return them in a couple of days.
i eventually gave them their shirts back,but never got the ones I had loaned them back......
i offered them money for staying the night and looking after me,but they refused.
they said they were happy that I was OK and that was enough for them,but I insisted and they finally accepted enough money for breakfast and motorbike to get home.
we walked to the 7-11 and I waved them off on their way and then made my way for a Beer in Kangaroo Bar.
everyone was horrified when they saw me and I told them as many details I as I knew at the time.
ended up having a few Beers and then it was time to go and see Nok.
jumped on the motorbike and then walked the last 200 Yards to her room.
as it was my left eye which was closed and covered I had no vision to my left unless I really turned my head and I failed to see Nok sitting in the small shop and only realised she was there when she called my name.she was horrified at the state of my face and hugged me and gently kissed me on the eye and helped me sit down.
i was having trouble judging distances and nearly fell of the chair twice when I reached for my drink.
we sat there for a while before she called her room-mates down and I had to explain what I knew had happened.
the 4 of them fussed over me and I was loving it.
Nok wanted me to go to her room and rest and off we went up the 2 flights of stairs.
she took my shoes off and guided me to the bed and got me to lay down,but I was in agony with my chest.
no problem when I was upright,but laying down was really hard.
she fussed around and tried to get me comfortable,but to no avail and I suggested we return to the other Girls.
watched a bit of the Football and then asked Nok if she wanted to come with me for the night?,and she said yes.
to my surprise she said she was ready and said lets go.
she looked a state and I asked her if she wanted to change and do her make-up?,and she said no and I really surprised as she was normally very particular about how she looked and here she was with her hair scraped back,tatty t-shirt,old pair of shorts,flip-flops and no make-up.
then she surprised me again by suggesting we walk to Bangla and this was again unusual for her as she normally hated walking anywhere.
we stopped off at the market stalls near her home and looked for an England shirt for her Son.
i had been looking for days for one but we could never find anything suitable and Nok always got disappointed.
down Bangla and the Soi’s going off it and looked and looked and no shirt to be found.
we went to see our friend Khag in the Bar where she worked and she gave me a couple of Beers on the house and we chatted as I had’nt seen her for a few days.
it was around 9pm by now and I said to Nok we must go to English Bar so that I could get the definative story from Danny.
walked in the Bar and little Taa#2 rushed up to me and gave me a big hug and chatted away in Thai to Nok.
i bought the drinks and Nok asked if I had ever taken Taa#2 home and I said yes and she said she was a “beautiful Lady”and while I agreed,i told Nok she was “prettiest Lady in Thailand”.
Danny and Lek came to chat and I got the final bit of the story from them.
i told them they had 2 good Girls in the one’s who looked after me for the night and I was thankful.
he told me he had been at the Police Station reporting the incident when he heard a Falang was at the Hospital and he had wondered if it had been me.
i again bought up the subject of Nok and I having a small tattoo which meant something to the pair of us.
i had been trying to get her to have a tattoo for many Months,just something small which would not show when dressed.
she had always been hesitant saying that it must hurt etc.
she had come with me once and winced when she watched me having some tattoos,she was so scared of pain and did’nt even have her ears pierced.
she finally agreed and we went to my normal tattooist on Seadragon.
we sat down and I had a design in mind and explained to the Guy and he said no problem.
but then Nok got cold feet and said she was too scared and asked if we could leave?,she did’nt want a tattoo.
well I could’nt force her and apologised to the Guy and said we had to leave.
Nok and I left and I had a treat for her,i was going to cook for her in my room.
i had a kitchen and basic facilities so nothing hard to cook and decided on Spaghetti Bolognase.
stopped off in Ocean Plaza and bought all I would need and a bottle of wine.
back to the room I prepared the meat and Spaghetti and got Nok to prepare the onions and mushrooms.
she watched with interest as I cooked things and she had a big smile on her face as I dished it up and presented it to her as she sat in her chair.
opened the wine,but not being much of a drinker Nok did’nt really like it much and I was left to finish the whole bottle.
after the meal we washed up and then I propped myself up on the bed and she joined me and thanked me for a wonderful day and meal.
she said I must sleep now and get reat and she would take care of me for the night.
around Midnight and I was now just itching for another Beer and Nok tried to persuade me to stay in the room.
she said I was ’bad’ and had had enough drink already,but I told her just a couple of quiet ones and she finally gave up and helped me change my clothes and off we went.
we went to Bang-Bang Go-Go and Nok said she had to pop into her Bar and see the Mamasan and would meet me in Bang-Bang.
i entered and sat with Na and some of my other friends and again had to explain things.
Nok returned and was very quiet and I knew something was up,but she would’nt explain but I persisted and she burst into tears.
it seemed the Mamasan had got angry with her about being seen with me on the town a couple of nights earlier when she was sick from work.
she had been threatened with a reduction in salary and even the sack and had been left in no uncertain terms she had better buck up her ideas.
i was angry and wanted to go and see the Mamasan and have a word,but Nok begged me not to,it would get her in more trouble.
i relented but was still seething and after I finished my Beer I said it was time for bed.
back to the Hotel and she helped me undress and shower and into the bed.
she gently put her arm around me and we just drifted off to sleep.
what a day this had been.......

Cracked ribs... damn Nok, they should put your picture on the wall for customer of the month! Having cracked ribs myself playing American football I can't imagine having nightly sessions for at least a couple of weeks (at least enjoyable ones). Must have put a damper on your vacation, but then again, your sort of local celebrity now... My hat goes off to you sir!
Not that it matters but did you ever find out why the guy was strangling the TG?

I commend you for you for your bravery. Next time be a little more careful about putting yourself in striking distance of another without a means or knowing how to defend yourself. Lucky for you the guy only punched and head butted you, it could have been much worse if beer bottles, knives or the guy decided to stomp on your head a few times.
Might I suggest that you carry a small bottle of pepper spray to handle such altercations in the future. I have used it quite successfully in some instances of dealing with belligerent and drunken types. Very effective stuff.
