2nd half of Day 2 continued. You can find the very beginning of my ongoing field report in the Bkk section of the forum but the real vacation really starts here...
Arrived in Phuket at around 2:30pm and man it was good to be back. I got my luggage and proceeded outside of the airport. I got a taxi for 600 Baht to take me to the Arcadia Resort Hotel located at Karon. I was offered the small bus for 480 Baht but after reading GATOR420’s experience I chose not to go that route. I just wanted to get to the hotel as quickly as possible and not deal with dropping everyone else off first. The taxi ride took about an hour and I was wiped out by the end of it considering all the twists and turns the roads had on the way to the hotel. I finally arrived and as soon as I stepped out I was greeted with a cold towel and welcome drink. I can’t say enough good things about the Arcadia Resort. For $72/night in a 5 star luxury hotel it was amazing. This is my third stay at this hotel and every time it gets a little better with all the renovations over the last 10 years. After check-in I was led to my room, which was incredible. The balcony overlooked all the pools and Karon Beach. I chose to stay at this hotel for the first 2 nights in order to decompress from the flights and just get my internal clock normalized.
Once I was settled I got myself some dinner at the hotel restaurant and then headed down to the road to catch a ride to Patong. I told the driver to take me to the Expat Hotel. I wanted to check the place out since I had reservations at this place later in the week, plus I knew Christins was walking distance away from the place. On the way there the taxi driver actually tried to take me to Christins, which was nice since he pointed out exactly where it was for me. I figured this would be a nice place to break the ice for my vacation.
I had a couple beers at the Expat Hotel bar in order to loosen up and get ready for the night’s festivities. I finished up and began the nervous walk towards Christins. As I got there I felt kind of guilty because I had to literally step over a begging mother and her child on the sidewalk right outside the entrance to the place. I later felt really bad about this considering I blew 2000 Baht on a f*ck instead of helping a baby and mother out who were in pain. This was one of the first things I encountered on this trip that began to change the way I look at myself.
I entered the establishment and was immediately greeted by a friendly young Papasan. On the left was your fishbowl filled with about 30 or so women. On the right was a small bar with tables situated so you can have your drink and view the pickings. I ordered a whisky and coke and mulled over my choices. The Papasan asked if it was my first time, which it was, and explained the whole thing to me. The fishbowl is divided into three categories. The farthest left was priced at 1800 Baht, the middle section was 2200 Baht, and the right was 2500 Baht. He explained that all the girls do the same thing. Looking at the fishbowl the right section definitely had the best lookers, but the other sections also had a nice selection. The papasan went on to explain that I could take two girls for 4000 Baht.
Knowing that I was most likely to return I just picked one girl in the middle section. They didn’t have change for 3000 Baht so I got the girl for 2000 Baht. I got in an elevator with my lady and headed up about 10 flights. Christins is huge, the place is about the size of a small department store. The girl led me to a room which looked like any hotel room except it had a jacuzzi bath right next to the bed. A maid was preparing a tub for us as we entered the room. When the maid left the girl instructed me to take my clothes off and she did the same. Next to the tub was a rubber mat, which she laid down on the tile floor located next to the tub. She sprayed the mat and got it all soapy for me and then told me to lay down on it. Then she sprayed me down with warm water and soap. She then went through her whole routine of massaging my body with hers. After the rubber mat treatment I got in the tub where she bathed me. After the tub we proceeded to the bed and had a nice session. It was a fun experience but I do have some complaints about this place.
First off all, I have an issue with the rubber mat. I don’t know how well the clean those things but I can’t imagine all that much effort is put into it. Also, my friend, who went with me to Christins, told me he had to piss and the girl just told him to go on the tile floor where there was a drain. This is the same floor where they do the rubber mat treatment. Also, when I got the body massage the girl was going way to quick sliding up and down my body. I wanted to tell her to slow it down but she was going by her play book step-by-step. She also kept grinding her pussy on my shaft and a couple times came really close to sliding it in. I physically had to restrain her from getting so close to my unprotected area. When the papasan said all the girls do the same thing, they all do the same thing. My friend who chose a 2500 Baht girl told me about his time and it was identical to what I had experienced. It was completely scripted, which I didn’t mind so much, but others might not like that sort of thing. Don’t get me wrong, the place was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been.
Afterwards I waited for my friend down in the lobby area and had another whisky and coke. A big group of Japanese men were there and man were the rounding up the ladies. I could tell they were really excited as they looked in the fishbowl. I got tired of waiting for my friend so I left and went down to Margaritas, which is bar on the corner of Bangla. It was a meeting point my friend and I had set prior to going to Christins. As I was sitting there I had a girl come up to me and start chatting with me. She brought up the whole Iraq thing, which I didn’t appreciate. I was on vacation and that was the farthest thing from my mind. She quickly realized that her joke or whatever it was didn’t go over well with me and she changed the subject. Later on my friend joined up with me and we had a few rounds and had a post discussion.
After we were finished at Margaritas we headed down Bangla to Soi Eric, where both of us have some pretty fond memories from our last trip. Drank mostly on the left hand side of the soi. Basically drank a lot and soaked up all the attention we were getting there. Then I saw a real good looking girl that stood out from the rest of the girls. She was taller and had beautiful skin and a gorgeous face. The only thing was the girl had a nose ring, which I don’t really care for, but this girl wore it really well. I told my friend that I had to have it and made plans to see her later that night at Tiger.
I wanted to go around a bit more with my friend before I met up with my lady. My friend urged me to go back to the Arcadia since we paid so much for the room and since I already had Christins that night. I refused because I was on sensory overload at that point. I booked a room at the Valhalla hotel. I was curious about this place after seeing their website (that ended up being a huge mistake).
Went to Tiger at 2am to meet my lady but she was nowhere to be found. I was a little pissed since I had booked a room at the Valhalla for 1200 Baht. As I waited in front of Tiger a girl came up to me and said she liked me and wanted me to take her for the night. I said no thanks for I was still wanting to find my original lady. The girl told me she would go with me for free. I asked her why and that no lady go with man for free here. She told me she liked American men. I told her that there were plenty of other American men here, but when she asked me to point them out I couldn’t find one. In fact I only met one other American on my entire 3 week trip, who happened to be one of the owners of Taipan. Something didn’t feel right about the situation so I politely told her I have a lady already and to leave me be. She told me that if my lady didn’t show she would come back for me. I told her ok just to get her away from me for the time being.

i would never stay at Valhalla,i walked around the complex one day and visited the old Go-Go they had there and I was not impressed with any part of the complex.
