Day 4
I woke up early in the morning feeling revitalized and the jet lag was finally starting to wear off. I was also feeling restless and a bit depressed knowing I was due to check out of the Arcadia in a few hours. I grabbed myself a cold drink out of my fridge and went downstairs to enjoy the surroundings while all the other guests were still sleeping. I sat down in a secluded seating area and had myself a nice morning smoke. I really enjoyed watching the rain come down as I sat there wishing I never had to leave this place. After about a ½ hour I went upstairs and gave my friend a call so we could go grab some breakfast.
After breakfast I went for a morning swim. It was really nice because nobody was there and it felt like the whole place was mine. The pool had a waterfall and a large grotto that went underneath it. It would be a perfect place to take your girl for a little fun if you know what I mean. I spent the whole morning relaxing at the pool.
Checked in to the C & N later that afternoon and I had a few hours to kill before dinner so I went down to get myself a massage. I was hoping for a happy ending this time, but the massage joint outside of the C & N (called O.P. Massage) didn’t provide it. It was still nice though...
One complaint I have about the soi outside the C & N Hotel was it had the queen of all lady boys working a bar across the little alley from the hotel. It was called the Crab Shack Bar or something like that (a little piece of crap bar). She kept leaving her bar every time I passed by screaming out "my friend, my friend" and coming over to me and invading my personal space. She wouldn't leave me alone and kept demanding a kiss, which really made me uncomfortable. I always had to walk by this bar and make it to the elevator as quickly as possible in order to avoid it.
Later on I met up with my friend and played a little pool at the restaurant right next door to the C & N. After we finished playing we walked across the street to a little restaurant called Number 6. This place has a lot of falangs who frequent it, which usually means there’s better food elsewhere, but I really liked it. They had a fairly good selection of things to choose from (I recommend the Pad Thai) and most of the main dishes are priced around the 50 Baht range. I had myself a good meal and went back to my room to have a little nap.
Around 8ish my friend and I went to Margaritas to start out the night. The bartender remembered us from the other night and immediately had two Heinekens waiting for us. We ended up becoming friends with this guy and hung out with him a few times on our trip. That night I had made plans to meet up with one of our forum brothers (ParadiseSeeker) on Soi Eric. I never met anyone from the forum before and I was eager to meet someone who knew about it. My friend joined me since he wanted to go to a bar on Soi Eric and talk to a girl we call Lamb Chop that he fancied from the previous night. I also wanted to see if NoseRing was still around. I didn’t want NoseRing again; I just wanted to see her one more time for some reason, I don’t know why… When I got to her bar she wasn’t around, her friend told me she was sick, which most likely meant she had another customer.
We went to Lamb Chop’s bar and for some reason she was upset at my friend. Apparently she thought he was coming back to her bar the other night, which he never said he was going to do, and when he didn’t show up she got upset at him. She told him that he made her crazy and that she could not talk with him anymore. My friend tried explaining but had no success in changing her mood. The girl was beautiful; had the most amazing looking face and body. I told my friend I was going to visit another bar while he stayed behind to try and fix the situation. I could see him in the distance from where I was sitting and to be perfectly honest it was kind of pathetic seeing my friend sit alone trying to get this girl back. Lamb Chop was ignoring my friend and talking it up with these two young falang hippie couples. About 10 minutes later my friend came over to where I was and told me she had left with the two couples. I can only imagine what freaky sh*t they had in store for her that night. My friend was messed up for a few minutes after seeing her leave like that. I reassured my friend that she wasn’t worth getting upset over and that there were a million other girls to choose from that night.
Met up with ParadiseSeeker a few minutes later at the corner Bar on Soi Eric. He was cool; just a laid back individual enjoying his holiday. We chatted for a while and talked about how we came to find Bkktonight and where we had been in Thailand. I didn’t realize it at this point but I was really starting to pound the beers and whisky. We made our way to English bar all the way in the back of Soi Eric and played the hammer game, which I suck at. Had a couple drinks there and then ParadiseSeeker saw something that sparked his interest so he decided to go check it out. I wished him farewell and good luck as I started to think about my own prey for the evening.
My friend had left earlier so I was on my own at this point. Still on Soi Eric I made myself comfortable at a bar and just started ordering drink after drink. I started chatting with one particular girl, kissing her, hugging her, sharing cigarettes, etc… She was all over me and vice versa but I wanted to change venues. By that point I was really drunk. I still remember walking to the bathroom and people just clearing out of my way because they knew I was tore up. I wasn’t belligerent or falling over but I guess I had that look in my eyes. Usually the ladies on Soi Eric are all over you trying to get you to sit at their bars, but I think they knew I was in my own world at that point as they didn't attempt to stop me. I splashed a little water on my face in order to try and get myself together before I headed back out into the crowd. By this point it was midnight so I went back to Margaritas to rendezvous with my friend.
I hung out at Margaritas for about 20 minutes before I decided go back into the jungle. The nice thing about Margaritas is you don’t have girls there hassling you to buy them drinks or play those stupid games. I’m not always in the mood for an up-in-your-face environment. Sometimes I just like to kick back and have a few rounds in peace. They have a good band and a nice bar setup in a prime location. Anyways, I left Margarita and went to the soi underneath Tiger this time. I made my rounds and talked with one lady who tried to rip me for 5000 Baht for a LT. I told her she was out of her damn mind. She must have known I was wasted to try that bullsh*t with me. I said no thanks and grabbed a LT for 1500 a couple bars down. I felt like I rushed my decision but I was fairly content with what I had chosen for the night.
Made it back to the hotel and had myself a nice session and then almost immediately afterwards passed out. It was a drunken sloppy night for sure, I can hardly remember the details at that point. I woke up in the morning expecting another round but she was already getting dressed. I was a little pissed considering I paid a LT fee and was denied my morning session. I guess that’s what I get being a drunken smelly falang. She left and I went back to sleep for a couple hours.

I am really enjoying your report.
It has brought back a lot of good memories of my visit there last winter.
Soi Eric is a great place to spend time and money, most of both were spent at the English bar.
I took an older bg called Ton for 4 days we had a great time, in and out of bed, happy days!!
I will be back in November, this time round it is for 2 weeks in Phuket and 3 in BKK, cant wait!!
If you see Ton, give her one for me, hahaha!

Good FR, I can identify with that too drunk feeling. I usually try not to get that messed up, but sometimes when you know you're already in for a hangover the next morning you just say f_ck it and keep drinking 55. Everyone's entitled once in a while. Keep the FR's coming, they're good.

Thanks everyone for the interest, glad I could bring back some memories. More reports on the way...

The weather in July was really nice. It's hot of course, some days more than others. It rains maybe two or three times a day for maybe 5 - 10 minutes at a time. After a rain it clears right up; It was never a problem. I hear August tends to have more rain for longer periods of time.
Not too many falangs indeed. The women were definitely the majority. I felt like a piece of meat on a hook passing up and down the sois, it was great. The low season is a great time to visit. You just have to be careful you don't schedule your holiday when a military ship is in port. I experienced that on my last trip and the place felt overcrowded to me. Still had a great time on that trip but it was so much better this time.
The girls attitudes were very pleasant, at least the ones I encountered. I don't recall them being arrogant, maybe a little attitude, but all in fun.

I think you been lucky Dagul I was in Phuket only two weeks ago and it rained non stop for 24 hours! The Tg's were just as pretty, just a little wetter than normal! Cannot wait to be back there this weekend! Good FR's!

Nice FR btw, making me miss the place now... I`ll be back there in Nov, so only a few more months to wait...
Spent a lot of time in Soi Eric too... Its good down there because they all have the same sound system and its not overpowering.
