I will be in Phuket in late November and I am trying to find a a girl friendly hotel away fry from the hustle and bustle of Patong. Price wise, I'm looking for something between 1000-2000 baht in either Karon or Kamala Beach, preferably in close proximity to the beach and with a swimming pool (and in room safe deposit box). I have done a search of all threads in this section and the best march so far has been the Baan Boa Resort on the edge of Patong.
Any knowledgebale forum members have any other suggestions?

I have stayed at Baan Boa Resort and give it an enthusiastic thumbs up. I prefer it to kamala simply because it is so easy to get from BB to the bars and back. (20b each way on motobike). For Kamala you will be at the mercy of the bike/minibus drivers.

Thanx for ur replies. I tried to book Baan Boa Resort for Nov 22-27 thru a number of wholesalers online but there were no rooms available. Right now I have RSVNS at Kamala Dreams; I have confirmed their GF policy, no problem!
I have to finalize the RSVNS within the next 10 daysl I am open to alterantives in any verified GF hotels in Karon or Kata. Any other ideas?

Bit over your budget sure, but an awesome place indeed, ideally placed for both Karon and kata beaches. Worth it if you're taking someone special.

My guess is that any girl you pick will know the way to the nearest one.
It has been over a year (and pre-Tsunami) but my regular BB in Karon was the Moon Bar (in group of BB's left hand side as you leave the beach at the roundabout and head toward the Karon Temple)....I never went short time from there but know the rooms were not far away - possibly upstairs. Enjoy.

Try the Karon Guest House (in low season). Half-way on the left as you go from the circle to the Wat
