I have heard from a business friend in Phuket that the Bar & Restaurant owners in Patong, are planning a closure of all Bars & Restaurants on the 26th of October for an unannounced period of time as a Protest of the currently enforced 12.45am closing! How things have changed!

Guess I'm glad I didn't buy that plane ticket for the 28th then. Sure hope they settle this thing - I had a hottie I wanted to take again.
Flight to Samui is too damn expensive, and BKK just doesn't have the vacation atmosphere.

bus to Samui from SG? I wanted to make a weekend trip.
so enough whining, I found the governor's email on the gazette : http://www.phuketgazette.com/issuesanswers/details.asp?id=744
and sent a request to extend the hours. I explained my position as a regular vacationer, and estimated how much I contribute to the Phuket economy (I'm not a cheap charlie). My email might not be much, but it's something.
