Did a search on both of these (as well as watersports) and got no hits.
Any places in Phuket for either of these activities? I am going for the first time in Dec. Probably stay at Patong or Kata beach. I know there is diving/snorkeling but I am more into waterskiing or jetskiing.

Jetskiing is definitely there in Patong. Kind of expensive though. I paid 1200 baht/30 mins for the "new" jet ski, while you can get the "older" jet skiis for 1000 baht/30 mins. Never seen water skiiing there, but they have boats there to do it. You might be able to talk them in to it if they have the equipment. They also have parasailing and one of those water rocket things that they drag behind the boat with like 8 people on them.

There are jetskis on Patong and also Kamala. Kamala beach is the only one where I saw waterskiing, but it might exist on Surin beach as well. Kamala and Surin are calm enough waters for waterskiing. Not sure of pricing.
To get to Kamala or Surin from Patong, just rent a motobike for 200-250 baht for the day. Roads are good.

Chaps who live at Karmala are not too fond of the jet skis and their crazy farang drivers.. But for now we have to tolerate them as long as they stick to their part of the beach.

Jet Ski Boy here !!..... all older Yamahas around, no me favs.... Kawi's
New ones gonna rent for 1000 baht $20 bucks USA for 1/2hr..... speed boats can be rented for good prices with or without driver to cruise to little bays and coves around Patong and southern Phuket areas.
Did good trip hiring boat, load it with ice cooler and food and take 3 BG's with you fun beach play. The Thai boat drivers will love taken thier squeeze also.
For less the 3000 baht $ 75 bucks all day fun fest in and outta the beaches...... get the tubes and the scurfers out also bring snorkle gear to watch their asses deep. He he he * ) I gotta do that again down there hella fun trip.... I love Phuket * )

Thanks for the info guys. Sounds like I can find what I am looking for with a little effort. I will stay at Patong, but intend to see some of the other beaches (Kamala, Karon, Kata). Should be a great trip!!
