My trip in October was a vacation with my agf, but there's a P4P story so.... We spent one night at Salathai - good place, nice rooms, but the bar music across the street is visible anytime a window is open. We got pretty good massages at the beach place at the end of the road (probably no longer useful info : ( ). It was a nice place for side-by-side massages. A few very pleasant days on Phi Phi island followed that. I recommend the Holiday Inn there, though a BG would stick out there. There were Western/Thai couples but all had clearly had been married for decades.
On returning to Patong we checked into Avantika. It's a very nice hotel, but not worth the money in my opinion. Asking 900B to book a taxi to the airport is absurd. If you need a the best place on the beach, this is probably it, but I'd take the second best for much less money. For the record, they claim joiner fee of 1,500 Baht (!), but is not necessarily enforced. Again we got a massage, this time at SeaPearl Hotel - we did they insist on separating us? I wasn't going to fool around when I had other plans.
That evening I had her put on my favorite super-tight, super-short miniskirt and we headed over to Bangla. Her description was perfect "The bar district was a lot of fun. There were so many people, so many sexy girls, so many lights, lots of music, so much *stuff.*... I wasn't prepared for hoards of laughing, sexy, friendly girls to literally jump up, run over, and physically drag (both) us over to sit and beg us to stay." I had assumed that couples would be very rare and they wouldn't know what to do with us. Not so... there were a few other couples around drinking and watching, so the bg's expected us to do the same. I was not expecting to have to fight against such assumption.
We found a bg who seemed to have a thing for my agf. She spent most of her attention on my girl, flirting and getting cuddly. Unfortunately she was not my style - tall, skin and bones, flat as a board - so we looked a little longer. At one place in Soi Easy they started playing "Sexy, Naughty, Bitchy" by Tata Young. My girl liked it, so the bar girls dragged her in to the single dancing pole. Hmm... great view of her dancing with the bar girls. Still nothing was clicking so we went back to the first girl. When we came back she was talking to a guy, but we got her attention and asked her to join us at tiger. She left her bag with the guy however, which seemed like a bad sign. We took her anyway just in case. After a bunch of nasty dancing I assumed she would come back with us... no deal. Several different excuses showed up (why don't they stick with one? it would be more believable) so we gave up on her.
By this time I really wanted to find a tg, and so did my girl. We spotted a "closed" bar in Soi Eric with some people around. Again, everyone assumed we wanted a drink and not a girl. But there was one little hottie there. LittleHottie was tiny, under 4'10", with perky breasts, cute face - definitely my type. We told her, and the mamasan we wanted her. They didn't believe us, but my girl nodded vigorously and we made a big offer (1,500 ST). I figured the Baht would speak more clearly than english, and I was right. LittleHottie wasn't all that into the les thing, but I got them to kiss and play in between getting two girls on me. All in all it was a great night for me.
Next day back to SeaPearl. Agf went for the beauty thing, and I for another thai massage. This time she offered to massage for the little head, but I declined. We finished the trip with some pictures with the tigers at phuket zoo. I highly recommend the zoo just for that. Nowhere in the states or europe are you going to be able to hug a tiger. Back home my girl found ethaicd.com and bought the Tata Young album, so I get regular good memories. Then an acquaintance spots the case and says "oh that's my cousin..." man there's no escape from LOS! :D

i love cats,i have 5 of the rather smaller domestic types.
when I went to Phuket Zoo I knew nothing about the Tigers and was pleasantly surprised when I saw them and was offered the chance to have my Photo taken with them.
Tigers are my favourites and I was up for it and had to persuade my #1 Girl to join me for the Photos.
but I was saddened by the state of them.
obviously the Zoo cannot let the punters get so close to the animals if they were in their natural state.
they seemed a little sleepy when I was with them but later saw some things I did not like.
i saw other visitors having their Photos taken and the Tigers were so tired they were beaten with bamboo sticks and had their tails pulled very roughly to get them awake enough to make the Photo oppurtunity a good one for the tourist.
after I saw this I was saddened that I had been part of this process which is degrading to these fine animals.

Yeah I agree, the tigers are not well treated : (
The cubs seemed better. They were playful and active still - tried to eat her scrunchy and my pants

They play the hell out of the Tata Young song, but I have to admit I had my tgf send me a copy for the memories. It seemed like every bar in Patong has the same set of songs. I'm still trying to figure out the title of that "lonely lonely lonely" song that they kept playing all the time.
