Hi, bros,
Going to Phuket next month. Looked up the Avantika, Club Bamboo and Thara Patong. How are these three compared? GF? Any bro stayed in any one of these recently? What other real nice hotels or villa on Patong that you can recommend?

Dunno the others but have been in Club Bamboo in April this year. It's a cool and relaxed place and definitely GF. Seems to be a bit of a gay place as well, but not entirely gay occupied. Swiss or German management.
Didn't like it too much though... it's a bit so so... Situated on a small hill which is nice, but it's more than a walking distance to beach and Bangla Rd. I rented a bike which was cheap (~100 B.) and fine. The whole place is kinda small and cramped and not exactly new or newly renovated, but still... Actually I don't know any better hotel (dunno many at all), but I would love to know a better one...

Thanks, MTK. I will report back after my Phuket trip. Right now, we have several other options away from Patong that we are considering if we can't find something really nice on Patong.

My friends still stay Thara Patong Hotel. When we stayed there a few years ago it was really guest friendly, but I am not sure these days. Since mia noi and I have a home down here, I usually take TBG's to a short time place.

In front of club bamboo you'll get motorbike taxis. Normal from the morning to the early evening. Sometimes a Tuk Tuk wait.
I remember, that one the manager was dutch (english and german talking). Was, cause he stopped 2 oder 3 years ago. Staff was very nice. The breakfast is directly at the pool. 4 or 5 tables. We enjoyed the time, makmak...
