I concur. BG are more then glad to go with a punter for a month at this price. I've had some go for as low as 6K and no they were not "dead dogs".

Really? Sounds low, unless the punter is also paying the bar fine for the month for the girl. Doesn't the girl have her salary docked if she doesn't produce enough bar fines (at least in many bars that I know of) ? Also, in numerous bars doesn't the management fine the girl if she doesn't show up for work (and no bar fine) ?
Perhaps Soi 33 is different.

The barfine quota probably applies to the bars that want the girls to be barfined. Some bars to share the barfines with the girls 50-50, and many don't (again, that policy depends on the bar).

Different bars have different specific rules but the general rules of the job (like any job) seem to be the same.
The general rules for an A-go-go bar bar seem to be
There is a basic monthly salary
This can be increased for additional tasks - acting as mamasan/manager, dancing topless, dancing naked, doing shows.
There is a limited amount of time off (one day a month?)
Extra time off results in salary reduction.
There is a "bar fine" and "lady drink" quota
There is a bar uniform which you must pay for/purchase for yourself within x amount of time.
Yeah 6k seems low but most girls would rather loaf around for a month with one guy than "work" everyday - and the 6k will be clear since the guy will be feeding her etc.

Concur with Minder, there is a "take a break" phenomena, which has little to do with the amount of money the punter spends. After doing the Silver Pole Shuffle night after night for months on end, the ladies do suffer job burnout. If you talk to the ladies in their off-hours, you will hear this a lot. Their solution is to find a customer whom they like, do the sad-eyes routine, and get him to take her out of the bar for a month or so. It's really their way of doing R and R, and they get the fringe benefits of free food and lodging, some trips to the islands, etc. I know of a couple fo BG's who are doing this at the moment, and another who is contemplating this with one of her customers (this particular customer is in love with this lady, she doesn't feel anything special for him, but considers him a nice guy so may go off the market for a month or two with him).
When the ladies have decided they are rested, lol, or bored, more likely, the "relationship" ends and they head back to the bar, in fine form, lol, rested and ready for the next punter. Even better if the punter has paid the bar the "exit" fee for the lady, as she will have gotten a chunk of this.

Have to agree as well.
I had a quite stunning Soi 33 lady from 'Renoir' happy the leave the bar and 'stay' with me.
I had bar-fined her and taken her overnight on quite a few times and she was an expensive lady, bar fine 1,300 baht plus over night fee of 3,000 baht.
I was shocked when she only asked for 6,000 baht for the whole month.
I agreed and enjoyed having her 'on tap' at such a crazy, cheap price. (although there were some expensive nights out on the town as well) I decided againts having her 'move in'. However she stayed on Suk Soi 22 and I stayed on Soi 31 so she was always close by.
This only lasted for two months however when she moved on, although she actually went to have a 'real' jovb working in hotel. 'Ballsburstin' is right it was probably just a paid holiday for her as she changed jobs.
Great fun and value for me though!!
