On my last visit in Feb, in a drunken love struck moment I promised a BKK girl from cowboy that I am quite fond of that when I returned for songkhran I would take her to Phucket.. now she knows I am a big butterfly.. but I often take her for 2 or 3 nights at a time... and I can not ever.. ever take another girl from her bar even though there are another couple of cute ones.. I appreciate itis a face thing and I am happy to play by these rules.. it is also a bar I can chill in even if I dont take the said girl often just paying the bar for her so she dont have to dance..
To the point I have a lot of mates about for Songkhran all after some of my time so much so that if I spent some time with everyone I would be here for the next year (I am already looking to swing an extra week if work allows).
Now do I keep my promise to said girl or appologise to her and explain I am busy. I hate to let the girl down. or do I keep the promise and take her..then if I do how long would be acceptable 3 days 4 days 5 days or would she be expecting a week.. if I dont take her will it ruin the bar that I chil out in... eg create an atmosphere because I know she has been telling the other girls she is going to Phucket with me.. especially one of her friends that keeps flirting with me and asking me when I will see her LOL...
In a dilema guys advice would be helpful

Do what you want as its your vacation. It's not like its a new story in Bkk. Sounds like you don't want to take her, so make up some excuse and move forward. Not likely she will believe you though. Perhaps buy her a little gift and give it to her in front of her co-workers at the bar to show your affection.

The question is less if you keep your promise to the girl, but rather how are you generally with promises? Do you have a reputation of being reliable, and that 'your word is your bond', or do you frequently flake out on promises? Not to this girl, rather in your everyday life.
If your promises are reliable, then you need to do the right thing by your own rule of conduct. Personally, I've promised girls similar trips, and I do keep my promises.
It always works out well in the end if you do.

The way I see it, any duration that is fine by you should be acceptable to her. Like dagul said, it's your vacation.
Obviously, common sense dictates that it should be 2 days or more (less than that makes the trip worthless). At least, that's how I see it. Whether the girl is a prostitute, or not, should have no bearing on your personal behavior.
What we did on my last trip - my two other US friends and myself agreed to take 2 girls of mine with us, but we also made it clear that this was going to be a real vacation for the girls. Each gets her own room, and can do whatever she wants to do. No strings attached. Aside from the barfines, we paid for expenses, but nothing else. We all ended up having an incredibly awesome and fun time for the 4 days we were on the island. It all depends on the girls, and the relationship and chemistry you have with them.

I don't quite understand why a euphemism (in this case Working girl) would in any way be better than Prostitute?
