Have been working on this as well.  I have found that an internet search on K1 Visa gives me good sites to go to.  I am not on my home computer, otherwise I would give you the sites.  Just make sure that she knows about having met you within the past 2 years, and can explain it, as well as what her work has been.  I believe that there is a K1-K2 thread on this board that may help.

I can only guess they will ask questions pertaining to whatever evidence or documents that you have provided. If there is insufficient proof to show why she is compelled to return to Thailand, they will definitely ask her for that.

Did you really look through the links?

After you posting, I just quickly skimed the links and found this very specific comments on Thailand. I cut and paste below from one of the sites:

Are these specific enough?

=====================================

Bangkok, Thailand - 1
Name:  Pleonjit
Date Petition Filed:  8 May 2000
Interview date:   31 July 2000

K-1 Story:  The interview part of the K-1 fiancee was quite easy. It was conducted in Thai. Painless questions about how and when we met, fiance's name and occupation, does he have a good heart, and the like. The difficult part had to do with the K2 visa for Pleon's 10 yr old son, because Thailand has had problems with people trying to get visas for children who were not their own. Pleon and the boy were interviewd separately. I don't know what questions the boy was asked. Pleon was asked some very intimate questions, including questions about the delivery. A typical K1 interview takes 5-10 minutes, from other experiences I've heard. This one took over 1/2 hour. The visas were issued.

Interview date:  May, 2000

K-1 Story:  My fiancee had her interview in Bangkok Thailand today. I went with her. The interview was pretty easy and they let me attend with her. An American interviewer who spoke fluent Thai asked her a few questions about how we met, her job, my job, etc. The paperwork review took about 10 minutes. Then we waited an hour for the interview which lasted about 10 minutes. He asked me how we met. Very pleasant chap. We go to pick up the visa in two hours. Yay.

The timeline was very short.

14Mar, Submitted petition to NSC
05Apr, Petition approved
02May, Interview scheduled (but she missed it)
31May, Rescheduled interview and visa
Very cool. It went much faster than I thought it would. Now that we are REALLY going to the US to get married, she's getting nervous. I don't blame her. Of the two of us, she is making the more difficult change. Leaving behind a culture, family, friends that she has known all her life. Pretty scary.

We have many challenges ahead of us of course. But as far as INS and the K1 visa process is concerned, it has been a breeze. Of course, I must give credit to the valuable resources of this NG and the various websites. I know I would have made many mistakes if it hadn't been for the hours of reading I did prior to submitting any documents.

An unsual update:
9/00

I petitioned my fiancee to come to the US (from Thailand) earlier this year. Her visa was approved and she used the visa to enter the US in June. We were married in August.

But during this time, my company decided to send me to Asia to live/work as an expat. No problem. I figured I'd just send her back to Thailand without filing the AOS and then petition her later as a spouse when I returned to the US. She returned to Thailand early this month, within the 90 day period.

Now, my company has reconsidered my next assignment and wants me to stay in the US for a few more years before tackling the Asia territory. Great. I've sent her home already. Now I need to figure out how to get her back here.

I figure that we must file the I129 spouse petition since we are now married. My question is this: will this go faster since we have already been though the I129F process? Or is this going to be a long, drawn out ordeal?

I know this is unusual. Just wondering if anyone has any insights?

A: Ouch. You will need to submit an I-130, not an I-129. It will NOT be faster than if you had not filed the I-129F. The whole process starts over. If you can get to Thailand for a day or so, you might be able to file the I-130 in person at the consulate.

Update on Filing I-130:
6/00

I'm about to submit an I-130 for my Thai wife. She came here on a K1 visa, we were married and she returned to Thailand before the 90 day period ended. (Long story).

I have looked at the help sites for the i130. Not as much info available out there as for the i129f. I am going to submit the following:

I-130 petition
G325a bio for me
G325a bio for her
my birth certificate (original and 1 copy)
her birth certificate (original and 1 copy)
a translation of her birth certificate
our marriage certificate (original and 1 copy)
my divorce documents (original and 1 copy)
ADIT style photos of her and me
Check for $110.00
Anything else? I submitted proof of relationship with the i129f, but this does not seem to be required here. Any help would be appreciated.

A: I would strongly suggest that you spend a day or two and find out if the Direct Consular Filing [DCF] option is available to you -- if it is, it will most likely take MONTHS off of the process.

A: The I-130 petition is a pretty thin package I would recommend against sending original documents, instead you should forward them to your wife to show at the interview. You do not need proof of relationship. You also don't need to send your wife's birth certificate at this point (although we sent mine, just in case). Sounds like you have everything you need.

Note: We will update you on Hartsleeve's status as he goes along the process. Thanks.

Bangkok, Thailand - 3
Name:  Robert & Suay
Date Petition Filed:  9/12/2000
Interview date:   11/13/2000

K-1 Story:  The interview was pretty casual. The interviewer asked how my fiancee knew me, where we met, what I do for a career, and what my full name is. After these few questions, the interviewer looked over the application materials and told my fiancee that she was approved. They told her that she should come back around 3pm and they will have her K-1 Visa ready to be picked up. She returned at 3pm, and it was ready.

Bangkok, Thailand - 4
Name:  rmw
Interview date:   11/13/2000

K-1 Story:  Yesterday may fiancee went to the embassy in Bangkok for her interview. After a few brief questions, they approved our application! They didn't even mention the fact that she has lupus. They glanced over her medical report and didn't seem to care very much. After a few hours, they issued her the actual visa and now she's ready to go! We'll be making the trip home on the 27th!
