Hi everyone After reading a few postings on this site on the subject of private investigation in Los before a guy chucks his life for a tg it seems to me that these T.G. are more genuine than we perhaps give credit for. any brother ever had results that were bad?

Latest estimate I saw from TPE is that 5 out of 6 unmarried TGs (metropolitan TGs anyway) can be expected to keep lines of communication open to ex-BFs and/or other suitors until you've signed on the dotted line.
Very interestingly, he saw no difference between BGs and other TGs in this respect.
If the figures are really that high, this behaviour would now have to be considered the cultural norm. Whether it's 'on the level' is a personal opinion, but I don't think there's much point in judging a girl's individual worth or moral fibre on the basis of it. If that's what Thais do, it's what they do, and as a farang involved with them on their turf you just have to cope with it.
So far as investigations are concerned, there's probably little point getting one done just to see if there are any other men in your TG's life. The answer will almost certainly be 'yes', and if you can't handle this, it may be best to avoid getting involved in the first place.
More realistically, if your intentions are serious, you probably do need to know whether you're the primary suitor or just an insurance policy. If you're not on the spot, and have no other way of knowing, that seems a far more sensible (and perfectly justifiable) question to ask a PI.

Actually, it's not that much of a bitch. If you insist on playing the courtship game according to home rules (as most guys seem to), then you're practically certain to come to grief. But it's not impossible to adjust your thinking to the rules of the Thai game.
God knows, most of us find it easy enough to adjust when it comes to playing around with BGs on the side. That's not in home rule-book either.

Nice positive guys on this board!!
If you want tales of gloom and doom to cry into your beer with you only have to go to Stickmanbangkok.com and read the readers' submissions. Sda to a high power.
Let me hit the positives.
I have several friends with very successful, long term relationships and some marriages with BGs. Makes me happy and sometimes envious.
The big yes for them, the most important thing is that they LIVE HERE. So, if it is possible, get over here.
Negatives, I frequent the bar areas, it is my best indoor sport. Most of the girls who have been in the business a while have been set up and let down.
Farang: Love you so much, want to take care of you, bring you to my home etc
TG believes this crap and thinks of a nice home, money, loving husband, money, children money. Get the picture?
Farang never appears again. TG gets a bit harder each time.
Funny or tragic. I am sure that many guys have stories like the time I was in a car taking a blonde haired 10 TG home in a taxi. 2:15am, mobile phone rings, she tells me not to speak, Gunter is calling. Who the F.... is Gunter.
He is a sponsor, man in Europe love me too mutt. Send me money every month. Checks to make sure I am going home safe (read alone!)
Fine, but two more sponsors ring before 2:45am.
We had a great night in the sack. Blondie can use every orifice that you would ask for. She would marry any one of her sponsors if they came here and steeled down.
