Has anyone used any of the internet introduction agencies? There are some pretty hot babes who seem to be looking for their "soulmate or husbands". Just wondering if anyone has used them to get dates?
Are they freelance?

Not USED them but I do know the lady who runs ThaNo1 (possibly the biggest) - SHE's very genuine but I have no idea how genuine the girls are!! It strikes me that it would be a very easy way to run a sponsorship "scam" so be wary (I'm not saying thats the case but it would be quitre easy if you think about it). Cheaper to get out here and just LOOK. I can show you hundreds of girls (NOT BGs) who "dream" about a Western husband. MANY of them want to escape and quite a lot do - but a HUGE proportion are back in LOS 6 months later for various reasons.

Judging from your post and other posts elsewhere in this forum, it seems that it doesn't work out in a majority of cases. Ofcourse one reason could be that the girl was using the man to make money and to be able to travel.
But I am sure a lot of times it must be genuine. Maybe the girls find it difficult to handle the combination of the cultural differences and not be able to handle the loneliness (away from one's own people). So one has to be very very careful before taking the final step.
Maybe once one feels fairly certain of the genuineness of the girl, take her to one's country on a 1/2 month holiday and see if she is comfortable there.
Inputs from brothers who havere would be helpful.

Sorry if i wasn't clear - I DO think they are genuine in a lot of cases and I meant they "return" for the reasons you mention , i..e loneliness, cultural etc. Problem is that it is almost IMPOSSIBLE (certainly in UK) to get "visitors" visas. You can ONLY get a residents visa and to get that you have to make a statement that you will marry them and that MUST take place within 6 months. I tried to get a visitors visa for my girlfriend and the (British) embassy just don't want to know!! However genuine the case they will ONLY give residents visas unless the application is supported by a legitimate Thai business and they show that the person is going to UK on THEIR behalf. If you go for the "resident" visa and they think you are planning a "test run" they will refuse anyway and its a bl***y expensive process.

Hi Guys
I have posted before about two of my friends who married Thai girls. For whatever reason the girls are back in Thailand. I think is is a big story but just tooooo different here in UK.
Spider, like you I tried to get visa for my TG. I wanted her to try life in UK before any serious commitments got made but it is classic " chicken and egg" If married you can get visa, if not NO. I spent quite a time at the Embassy but no luck. But all thats history now.

Just need to know one more thing.
Where would you members take a classy, beautiful looking Thai girl for a dinner date? Especially if you wanted to empress her? Unfortunately, my lack of experience in Bangkok would lead me to places like Spaso's in the Hyatt and knowing my luck, I'd probably bump into a number of my friends!! Which in this case may be a little embarrasing.
Any guidance would be most helpful.

There are many classy restaurants to take someone to. For Italian, try Gianni's on Soi Ton Son and for French, try Lyon on Soi Ruam Rudee. There are tons of others.
