Those are the places where the girls have generally superior English skills, and slightly higher prices for fun.  But anywhere you go in Bkk that caters to farang will have girls who can hold a fairly decent conversation, unless you're really searching for a fresh-from-Isan 20 year-old (or whatever the current age limit is).  If you want to chat about Heidegger vs. Kant, you might be in trouble, but so long as you're satisfied with hearing why she left her Thai husband and just wants to make you happy, almost anyone will fulfill your needs.  Don't worry; you'll be fine!

KIAMA, I agree with BK post. You may try first CM2 for a "quick" view. Nice environment and live music although a bit loud. I am sure you will find yourself confortable speaking with the TGs and won't go back home ALONE!! Cheers!!

oex,

They are authors whose works you can read while your gonads are recharging...  Since kings of old had all the lovin' they could handle within arm's reach, I suppose a visit from a wandering philosopher might be refreshing...  I know that H & K are a wee bit more contemporary.   Here in the States I have access to all of the philosophy I can handle, but alas, little sanook.

Immanuel Kant was a real pissant
Who was very rarely stable.
Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar
Who could think you under the table.
David Hume could out-consume
Schopenhauer and Hegel,
And Wittgenstein was a beery swine
Who was just as schloshed as Schlegel.
There's nothing Nietzsche couldn't teach ya
'Bout the raising of the wrist.

They're philosophers:

Immanuel Kant

Kant's most original contribution to philosophy is his "Copernican Revolution," that, as he puts it, it is the representation that makes the object possible rather than the object that makes the representation possible. This introduced the human mind as an active originator of experience rather than just a passive recipient of perception. Something like this now seems obvious:  the mind could be a tabula rasa, a "blank tablet," no more than a bathtub full of silicon chips could be a digital computer. Perceptual input must be processed, i.e. recognized, or it would just be noise -- "less even than a dream" or "nothing to us," as Kant alternatively puts it.

Heidegger

Martin Heidegger, Martin (1889-1976), German philosopher, who developed existential phenomenology and has been widely regarded as the most original 20th-century philosopher. Heidegger was born in Messkirch, Baden, on September 22, 1889. He studied Roman Catholic theology and then philosophy at the University of Freiburg, where he was a student of Edmund Husserl, the founder of phenomenology. Heidegger began teaching at Freiburg in 1915. After teaching (1923-28) at Marburg, he became a professor of philosophy at Freiburg in 1928. He died in Messkirch on May 26, 1976.
