are you saying that a thai lady has never given you a sad story about her family or family business? maybe 2 out of 5 times, i hear about some type of ploy to be funded. or how they do not want to be working in this industry.
i have met thai girls which were well off, and didn't need any financial support too. and i feel that most of the members of the forum have run across girls that send the same e-mails. "miss you, love you, when you come back thailand?, by the way our family buffallo died and now my family has no way to make money." btw, i am 32, but look 21, and still i hear these stories.
i feel none of us blame the reason why these girls do what they do to support their families. and we certainly do not take advantage of it!
i can agree with you that thai girls are the most sincere, loving creatures from all of asia and maybe even throughout the world. and that they too are generous.
but, if ALL girls were like your wife, then they would not take money from us.

Hi Herpy (hope I've spelled that correctly). I, for one, thought yours an affecting tale; I certainly felt touched to have read it through in the open & earnest spirit in which it was obviously intended.
Your story stands for all of us to rejoice in your good fortune and provides renewed hope and vigour to those of us yet to meet our own young, unselfcentred, financially stable, somewhat myopic, possibly orphaned and without (we dare to dream) further next or near kin, schooled alone at home in English and the domestic sciences by her mother who unfortunately etc., etc., virginal visions of perfection.
It is so rare to hear stories such as yours, where true love has blossomed at first sight with such a strength as to be capable of salving any feelings of jealousy or regret on those frequent "prior engagement" evenings (doubtless, they give you the opportunity to, unblush-ed, rub the ointment on the, rather unsightly and somewhat painful, sores and blisterings (aye, there it is) caused by unrestrained usage of your passion stick on the one or two late evenings a week you can be together before she leaves to visit her mother for breakfast; she probably, may I venture, fabricates certain of these "engagements" for similar reasons - the silly, sweet, shy young thing).
You must take care of her.
