A friend of mine tg, good familly,good english money in bank and a letter of sponsorship from a private doctor on harley street.
sorry no can do.
3 months later house transfered to her name money going in the account regularly and no letter from the doc.
visa approved.
so i'm not sure about it all, in the main,dress well, shine your shoes (old english) make a plan money in and out the bank, more in than,
and keep trying remember we english love someone who trys a lot.
As for evidence of a relationship i'll wack my 2 year old kid on the counter.
will that do ? karren ja ( the main wheel in the embassy.

I've often wondered how much of the Visitor's Visa granting is on the whim of the Entry Clearance Officer.
Say for example, the ECO is a lady, who might have come to Thailand with her British husband who works there and she gets work at the British Embassy. Now assume that her hubby plays around with the local talent (not a great leap of imagination required here) and perhaps leaves wifey for a TG. Wifey might well be disinclined to look favourably on other British guys falling for the local lasses, eh?
Even without those circumstances, I would imagine that a Farang Woman ECO is probably prejudiced against English guys, (especially older ones) marrying young Thai girls.
On 28th June, my Fiancee applies for a Spouse's Visa, where chances of success are very much greater. Only real reason for one of those being turned down is apparently incomplete or incorrectly filled in paperwork.
