I did a few months in Brazil and met up with a fantastic looking lady, bar maid in a local type bar. I would say number one for looks I have been with in my life as in P4P but not the best looking girl I have been with full stop but close.

I have some expat friends in vicinity of my P4P TG's bar.
I have one drop in a small money on my behalf every now & then.
I always get an sms or phone thankyooooo, & I always say "I send present, but only when I can, not much munneee" I have never had an "across the water" request for money from this one & for a few thousand baht I get lots of good karma.
On tour, I usually pick up expenses & barfine, but only pay her at end. I have in my left hand the agreed amount, & in my right & I have a her tip. This way it is clear that we haven't some how renegotiated some new rate precedent.
I tell her the tip is for how happy she has made me this tour. I have had quite a few very nice BBBJ's with my right fist clenched LOL.
Last tour she hit me up for her apartment rent on day three and then some sundries, & I was feeling a little toyed with. At the end of tour I opened left hand, she takes, I then say " I give you 3,000 for rent, I give you 1,000 for drug store, I buy you cell phone recharge ??, etc etc,.......this your tip, I have no more munnee, just cab fare & exit tax"
I could tell she was not happy, but I think the point was made.
I'm a soft touch though, so I did get a mate to drop in a present soon after.
Anyway, my point is that we shouldn't be offended if they try it on, but we must deal with it right away. As one brother wrote, it's just a transaction.

I think a few guys are missing something here....
1. Thailand has no welfare, unemployment, solo mothers benefits or even a child allowance programme !!
2. Most P4ps / BGs etc - regardless of what they tell you, do have at least 1 child back up-country [ why would a good-looking young TG not attract Thai guys ?] Of course said Thai guy is able at any stage when things get tough, able to jump on his bike and ride off - no paternity responsibilities, wage deductions, or even 50/50 cut if they have been married for a time ;
-SOME of the reasons TGs take what they can, when they can, they are brought up aware that MALES may not hang around when times are tough !
Also - the money most guys spend on chasing young / good looking females in other parts of the world, the dinners, wine, gifts, etc.. would probably cost much more than what they fork out to the average TG !
-Sure, some are harder, more mercenary than others, if they are such good sorts, that you really want to go there - then thats the price you pay ;

Socrates to say that a longterm relationship between farang and thaigirl is impossible is nonsense. There are thousands of examples of long-term relationships working out very well...marriages, children, mutual respect, futures built together.
Some of these are ex-BGs landing their farang customer - turned husband.
Others are normal thai girls meeting normal farang guys, or vice versa.
