A lot of girls actually take the ID of an older friend or family member who looks similar. I have a mate who married a girl from Khon Kaen. She carried someone else's ID (essentially because she was an illegal from Laos) and he even ended up getting her a passport and taking her to his homeland where they married.
So the name on all his wife's documentation is not her's.
When they divorced and she tried to screw him, he used this fact to his advantage.....

A 500 baht hand shake usually works for me. And if that doesn't work, try the 1,000 baht handshake. It all depends upon how much you want to get her in there. Sometimes they tell me certain places we have to sit. I am sure this is so that they know where to find us if the police raid, to get us the hell out first.

I can usually get through with the 500 handshake but just get fed up with the hassle.
Also when in pattaya I can usually borrow a card from one of my giks but now I am in chiang mai, where the master debator doorman asked for 1200 thb. the normal entrance fee is just 100 thb. besides 1200 is a longtime with some new girl!
ps. TPI old fogie is more to do with attitude than age. I am also of the mature variety.

I dont think there is any special tactic and dont really know if its because I speak a a tiny bit of Thai or not. Probably its because I usually only ask out the younger girls.
My latest girl was working part time in Emporioum shopping center demonstrating some electric food steamer thing. The previous girl was workiing in a beauty salon. I just simply ask them out! However I am very well used to rejection but if I didnt ask I wouldnt know. Try it anyway.
