MO is right! What is your MO by the way? Are you a gogo man? Or a soapy man? Maybe you should tell a bit about that.
I for one do about a dozen girls per trip, but I have only seen 3 gogo's from the inside and taken only 1 girl from them. I have been only once to a soapy.
Because I don't like them? No, just because I get hooked up well before I get to one. I get my girls from all over the place. A streetcorner here, a massageparlor there, a foodcourt, a beerbar whatever. With this MO you get to meet a lot of different girls from all walkes of life. Maybe you should just broaden your horizon. LOS is more then just Long Gun (or whatever your favorite hang-out is).
On the otherhand you could have OD-ed on thai (nite-) life and you are due to seek your fun in other continents. I mean after eating thai food for 10 years straight even a Mc Garbage is a welcome change.

I'm a soapy man, I still like the scene because it's hassle free. I don't like simulating the dating experience in the typical bangkok bar scene. I just don't see the point in dancing with a girl or buying her drinks all night if you end up paying for her anyways. I also find that bar and go go type girls to be a little too hardcore for my tastes. The best girls I have found are the word of mouth freelancers who my thai friends know.
These days my trips to the soapies is pretty infrequent and I am living with the aforementioned girlfriend. It works out pretty well this way and i'm not really all that motivated with accumulating numbers or girls. I'd post up some field reports but I think i'd be retreading mostly explored territory. Plus i'm an expat here now so my drinking and partying times has toned down substantially.

Well, yes and no!
Do I have a high percentage of freelancers? Yes.
But I also meet girls with a "normal" daily job that are not out for a quick baht.
And about the ONE walk of life??? If you mean if I'm on the palace mailinglist, then the answer is no. Do I meet office girls in a working environment? No, I'm on holiday.
So you are right in saying that I have not... eh... penetrated the high society. But if you mean I'm on a strict gogo diet you are wrong. My time and money are limited, so my "walkes of life" are limited. But I move around within my limitations.
If I would live and work there I would get a whole new set of "walkes" open up to me. I don't know what Stueyb's limitations are, but my advice was to move around within them.
And even when, like you suggest, there are only two kinds of girls, hookers and non-hookers, I dare to say there is a difference (in general) between a gogo-, MP-, beerbar- and FL-girl. I don't know if Stueyb has done a 1000 of all sorts. Or that he has done only 50 of one kind. That is all i'm trying to say.
P.s. don't read when I say "streetcorner" the word "streetwalker" but just that, a public place with a zillion people passing by. Walking can have a definite advantage over a taxi ride.

All good stuff guys. I do know some great educated Thai girls that I used to work with but none of them are particularly interested in having farang bfs - they all have Thai bfs. So I suppose my point is, the kind of girls I would normally be interested in generally don't seem to be interested in farangs, whereas the girls at the lower end of the foodchain (that I'm not interested in) are. Catch 22.
Even my closest Thai female friend tells me not to waste my time with Thai girls ! How f*cked up is that ?!

I have to say it all depends on what kinda Farang you are. If you are a young decent looking guy with some cash, most girls in any country like you. If you are some old guy, ugly guy with some cash that thinks you are going to pick up a normal girl just because you are a Farang, or have cash, I doubt that will work with "Normal" Girls.

Money and youth doesn't always do it either. It's all respectability and face in Thailand. If a girl is reasonably attractive, educated, with a good reputation then there are tons of longterm asian expats or thais with money vying for her attention. If the guy is an obvious sex tourist or a douchebag then the actual good girls..the ones who want a future will be turned off by it all. Thailand has enough spectacles and believe it or not there is a large portion of the population who wants nothing to do with the circus coming to town.
All my young american friends can pick up some free sex at the club but it will usually be the girls you would want to ditch within the week. They are either "sarong party girl" types, headcases, or prostitutes giving it a go. I'm sure there's a good girl or two experimenting now and then but it's about as rare as an honest politician.
Just remember that just because she carries a Uni ID and pretends to be halfway respectable doesn't mean she's good. She could be stringing along 3 different sponsors with you as a 4th. My thai-american buddy knows too many of these girls.
Also, beware of the girl that only dates foreigners. Chances are good that there are other issues if she's all into the foreigner scene. I'm the first foreigner my g/f has dated and I met her through a thai-american friend of mine. The only advantage I have in this is the fact that I blend in. This doesn't mean that it's necessarily easier or harder for farangs it's just all about respectability.
