And you would be quite incorrect. ÝWhatever the Grace Coffeeshop has become, it pre-dated the OLD Thermae by a good number of years, and was, in it's prime, MUCH better than the Thermae EVER was, or will be.
This is probably due to the enormous change that the scene has undergone in the past 20 years, and like the days of Roger Maris and the 61 homerun record, will not likely be seen again.
Comparing the Grace of today, with the Thermae of today is irrelevant. ÝNeither is a shadow of its former self.

you can really tell who the people are that have only been going to Bkk for a few years ..
they don't know that the Grace was the place for many years.. It used to be so crowded you could barely get into the place and the quality of the girls was great.. you could do well just waiting out near the bathrooms or by the stairs..
Also, someone comments that Thermae is a rat hole.. the current Thermae is so much nicer than the old Thermae.. no comparison..
i did however like the old Thermae .. the center spot where you could stand under the aircon and have all the girls squeeze by you when it was shoulder to shoulder in the joint ..

I must admit I've always had fond memories of the Old Thermae....one of the best girls i ever met...and a free sauna as well!!.......Stopped in their recently and found it the most depressing place I'd ever been to in BKK.....the appeal for me was the collection of the after hours girls who'd come from anywhere. Somehow Thermae and 11pm like oil and water

Don't know about the old Therma but I have had some very good luck at the current one......I just cruise through if I have nothing going and I have found a few delightful young ladies...granted that a lot of them have been riden hard and left wet but there are always a few that usually sit back out of the way and observe....they, I have found, are the best bet for a nice evening.

With the strict curfew the fact that Grace is the only game in town after 2.00am is all that matters.
No one used to go to Thermae until after 1.00/2.00 am anyway so cannot imagine what the attraction can be
earlier.

From what I saw recently ....None at all.....it was full of howlers....
I always used to consider Thermae a treat...if I could behave myself and be sober enough at 2am....off I'd go.....but that magic has gone.......and the Grace has never appealled for some reason...but I must have a wander through some day soon...problem is by 2am these days I'm never sober enough to have earned any treats!

with the much nicer and bigger grace coffee shop, olus a much bigger variety on girls to choose from i really doubt that thermae can ever regain its legendary status. i know it is well known and loved by many thai and viet veterans but sorry to say times do change. this even more with the 02:00 curfew. if this persists i see thermae go out of business pretty soon!

bar, probably do well with impending closure
of Clinton Plaza not to mention the
slack created by the Davis bulldozers!
