Absolutly no f***ing chance to get British citizenship unless the father marries the mother. There are very strict rules on this issue. In UK law the right to citizenship can only pass through the mother not the father.
The reason was that when UK started issuing British passports to commomwealth countries (India, West Indies etc) they did not want all the men with new British citizenship to go back home and f*** anything that moves on the promise of a UK passport.
She has not a change of getting anything from him if he does not want to give support.
Best she can hope for is the Luk Krung can sing or act.....

The Mad Stock Broker is right when he says that there is no chance for either the mother or the baby having British Citizenship granted to them either jointly or just for one of them.
I always got the impression that the Mad Stock Broker was British. I don't know why.

Now you might say that they still wouldn't have a hope in hell of getting even any support from the father.
But, England has Equal Opportunity laws.
Its government also has agreements with Thailand to extradite its paedofiles and other criminals from here both formally and informally and other less-well-known agreements related to trade and other things, or so I hear.
The success of their application for financial support will, I think pivot on the sort of lawyer or solicitor that you get for the girl and baby.
They should not be Thai, unless they have been trained and/ or studied law in the U.K.
They would have to know U.K. law in detail.

But you most probably would find better ones or a nearer one to the father than these. That aspect might be important. Maybe not.
You'd have to give them all the known info on the father.......... maybe have a swab taken of the baby's mouth for a DNA test comparison.
It might take a long time.
It might be worth going to the British Embassy and having a chat with them. And don't be put off by the first person you see. Remember, they are British.

Wake up! Getting pregnant is one of the oldest ways to trap a husband, or in this case an ATM. It was common practice in the West 30 or 40 years ago. Thais know farangs are soft about kids. Do the guilt trip thing on Daddy and the little bastard is good for 10 years worth of payments. Better than a dozen sick water buffalo anyday. This good girl had a plan all along.
