Great post Steve - my thoughts exactly. Im 40, not yet thicker round the midle but definitley thinner on top than I was 20 years ago  I just go with the flow and don't really give a damn. All my friends in the UK, most of whom have never been to LOS are always jealous as f_ck when I tell them about my latest trip.
All you really need to remember is to show respect here, to the monarchy, the religion, the elderly and the infirm and (hopefully) to the girls as well. In fact having said that i get really PISSED with those guys who seem determined to go out of their way to abuse these girls, whatever they may think of them. They provide us with a lot of run and usually go out of their way to try to "please" so a little courtesy etc surely cannot go amiss.

Yes, respect towards the culture and the people is a must. And as for the girls, they certainly give a us lot and definitely deserve our respect. For those who believe "what respect? they are just whores", remember they are human beings and most are in the business because of circumstances. And even from a selfish point of view, they respond much better to courtesy and respect than to abuse.

Kris & Whitespider,thanks for the kind words,yes a tourist or any visitor to LOS must show respect for the Thai culture,the Thais really do respect the Monarchy.One example....The Thai movie"Suriyothai" is virtually unobtainable as a pirate version because firstly its about the Thai Monarchy and second,the King went to see it.I have asked for it but always been given a polite but firm no.
