Guys like that guy ABC described make me wonder why nature can;t have some sort of idiot proofing in who can and can;t reproduce. Best advice I can give is make sure whoever your with as NO contact points to you when your not with her in thailand. Like the old saying goes What goes on in thailand Stays there and don;t come home with you except in good memories.

I wonder if any of us have really answered the original post by "vertigo" .
The first part of his question was " Have any member knocked up a girl 'INADVERTANTLY' - O.K. someone responded that getting knocked up can never be inadvertantly . Is this true ? What about when a condom is defective ?
The second part of his question was "What happens then ?" - as I understand it he would like to know how the girl acts , what can be done about it , is an abortion possible , does the girl use this to gain some advantage , have family or local thugs got involved ,etc. etc.
Any members with any experiences of any or all of the above ?

If you are using a condom with a prostitute and it breaks, I don't think you have any responsibility to raise the child. At most you would be responsible for paying for the abortion (assuming you knew you were the father), if the girl chooses to have the baby it is of no concern of yours (no more than the other billion unfortunate babies in the world).
A prostitute should be expected to take care of herself and her own body. In fact, I would argue that placing this legal or moral burden of parenthood on the customer is actually counter-productive to everyone but the dishonest.
In the case of ABC's friend, he was a fool, but he had no responsibility to the first BG he impregnated. He screwed up a lot of other lives with his many mistakes, including the one where he decided to take care of that girl and her baby.

I agree that "if" a member is using a condom and it breaks, then the member is not truely responsibly for that child. But ... it still sucks if the female had an unplanned pregnancy no matter how it happened.
But .. as Chompoo stated. Getting pregnant or catching an STD is part of hazzards of their job.
I will say that if a member is sleeping with a non-working female and she gets pregnant for whatever reason, I think that the burden of responsibility shifts and the female is not entirely responsible. I know. A double standard. But .... that is just how I feel, since I am assuming the relationship was not a monetary action, but one of love .... so to speak.
Personal note:
I am one that "if" i had gotten a female pregnant no matter which country or circumstance and she had the baby, then I would send child support money.
I don't think we should go any further into the discussion on abortion because I think that it will detract from the original question.
I think that my ex-friend is responsible for the child. I could not post everything about the sitatuation, but I can say that he did know and willingly had sex with her without a condom for the sake of giving her a baby. And after he got tired of playing ... "new" house, tried to get his old life back and it was too late, so being the immature 30 year old little boy ... moved on to another unsuspecting female in bkk. But ... that's another story.

I agree, but the "love" part goes too far. The level of obligation still varies depending on their relationship, their moral and religious beliefs and a few other things. I think the girl still has the primary obligation to take care of her own body (especially if she does not believe in abortion).

Your post indicated he did so under false pretenses. The girl deliberately deceived him and he is not under any obligation to care for the child. He was a fool for falling for that deceit, however.

And ... I could not think of a better word then "love". How about puppy love?? ha ha ha ha!!
I do agree with the level of obligation does vary and depending on many circumstances are different for each person.
