Hi all,
My first post as well.
Mine is a similar story to PC, except that my first trip to bangkok was with an ex-girlfriend (thai) who i had met in holland. (To explain, we fell out after we bought the tickets for the trip) She introduced me to a younger woman who met us at the airport, I think mainly to get rid of me , and after that it went roughly the same as PC. The difference is that after 9 days back home I went back to spend another 2 weeks with her and now, 2 years later, she is living with me here in germany as my wife.
I guess if I had been alone in bangkok I would have butterflyed and my wife would not trust me to stay in bangkok alone now, and she is probably right not to.
I read all your experiences here and it seems quite tempting and then I think of what i would be risking and decide it is not for me.
as b4b says, each to his own, I have a great time with my thai wife, I had a dutch wife before and believe me, a loving thai wife is much better. I have the GFE 24/7 and it is great!

No my friend you do not have the GFE. You have what is (hopefully) better; a Thai wife. To me the meaning of the GF Experience is something temporary, complication free and basically illusory. Which is great for people who want only that. I would hope that what you have with your wife is a genuine relationship based on sincere love, affection, and commitment. Or maybe I've got it wrong?
In any case, welcome.

there are many different ways.
seems you had a good time. so you did good. next time meet up with the girl again, see if she still is the same.
and then go to pattaya on your own for all the barhopping and helicoptering you want.
then you will be able to judge for yourself...

Good experience the first time round!
I agree with most of the bros who have replied, if you enjoyed yourself during your trip than so be it..no point in thinking what if this & that.
You got lucky by meeting up with a girl you could get along with and thats not easy as most bros will testify.
No need for confusion...unless you thinking of taking things to the next level than you may want to think about it again...

Let me add to the chorus. You obviously enjoyed yourself and that'e what counts. As the cliche goes, Different Folks, Different Strokes. End of the day, what counts is how YOU feel about the experience.
As for myself, I would have loved to be in your shoes. Only one piece of warning. It is very easy to fall in love with thai girls. Just tread carefully.
