mr. joe. not trying to catch a tg with identical letters from different forum members. and yes, you're right about translators writing for them. since most don't even know how to read/write english.
but just wanted to start a thread for the humor. and sometimes their spelling and grammar really brings out there thai-english accent. i'm sure whenever someone gets a letter written this way, they miss LOS - so badly.
heres an e-mail example:

here is a good example of an e-mail asking for money. of course this was after my FIRST trip to LOS, and did not have the knowledge supported by this forum. i have heard some funny stories that my friends received via e-mail asking for money. like 'my family cow died, and my brother go to jail for killing my uncle' now we have no wyay to make money'. anyone had this one before?

- subject I could write a book on ! - note that the internet shops in the lane by the soi 7 beer garden, overcharge at 2bt per minute, but are normally full of TGs - never see a thai guy in there ! - all these shops have reasonable translators, normally they dont use a standard reply, just vary it a bit -of course you get phrases regularly cropping up that are correct, but not normally used ... e.g. I am TENDING to my studies, often occurs, - and while on that topic, average price for a month course is 2,500 bt [ECC/BCC] - TGs that work the net, chat rooms, matchmaker sites etc. tell me often get 20-30 replies per day ! - Guess the answer is to feed them back as much drivel as they generally are feeding you !! - just dont fall for buying them [ or sending $$ to buy ] a computer for home, don't laugh, some guys have done so ! related story / scam / fake passport -
