Having sex after doing Yaba is the closest thing to heaven, but be warned, sometimes, if you have smoked 2 at a time, the downer can be a real bummer. ÝTry 1 every 4 hours at first. ÝBut, DON'T blame me if anything bad happens. ÝSome people become psychotic and paranoid and have been known to do real stupid stuff like mutilate themseleves or other people with knives... aka going crazy. ÝSo be warned. ÝCaveat Emptor. ÝOr as I said earlier, you sometimes get more than you bargained for.
However, the thing is, most of us guys will do it maybe once or twice, but the sad thing is the girls do it almost "everyday", 3 or 4 times a day(some of them.)
I've read that it can cause permanent brain-damage at those levels. ÝIt is sad that they are killing themselves... ÝNot really killing themselves, but making themselves so blurred after frying there brains that they will never be able to learn new skills, etc. when this career is over. ÝMy heart goes out to this one girl who I really like so much, but can't do anything to help her. ÝI was thinking yesterday as to whether I should send her money (although she hasn't asked) to help her out... but then what's the point? ÝShe will spend it on the most useless things. ÝWhile in LOS I tried teaching her some money management.. Apart from the respect I got from her, she learnt nothing. ÝI gave her 2300 baht and told her to "save" it, she blew through it in 1 day, and me being love-struck at the moment, didn't care and gave her another 2000 baht. ÝThe more I think of it, the more I understand that I was worried about a girl who for the most part gets into trouble because of the wrong or shall I say stupid moves she makes.
Which really saddens me. ÝI wish I could help her. ÝI try my best through emails, but it will probably have no effect.

I don't take drugs except for alcohol and sometimes cigarettes, and I am not planning to change this.
@ Aryan6:
Long-term use of amphetamine and it's derivatives (XTC) can definitely cause permanent brain damage, especially with adolescent brains. Methamphetamine is even more potent, so this can also be expected with yaba.
I sometimes wonder about the risk to take a seriously jaba-addicted BG in your room, especially when you fall asleep and she might go through one of the aggressive phases...

There are members who search for info on this subject but are affraid to post them due to the fact that they might be seen as a user, dealer, etc...I'm sure those members are now better educated about the drug scene in LOS...for the better IMO.
Yup, I agree it's not the smartest thing to do specially in LOS but better to know the ins & outs then to be in the dark IMO.

I know people that have been heavily addicted and have since stopped and recovered from the addiction, there is also at least 2 treatment centers in Bangkok that specialize in Yaba addiction treatment (they are for normal Thais so are very cheap)
The thing you should bear in mind is that only people that have additive personalities have long term problems in the sense that they often switch drugs, or turn to booze. The only effective form of treatment for people like this is complete abstinence from all drugs and booze.
Also the organization Narcotics Anonymous which is an effective self help group modeled on Alcoholics Anonymous runs Thai speaking meetings in Bangkok.

They certainly don't need to be on yaba to blow the dough. Lectures on money management are usually a complete waste of time and energy.
It's not only the BGs. I think it would be fair to say that budgeting is not a Thai forte.

Just another true story: A 52 years old friend of mine falls in love with a cute innocent looking TG he met on NEP. He takes her with him to Hong Kong where they finally get married. For about 6 months they are a "happy daddy-daughter" couple and she can share and enjoy a really good lifestyle of a wealthy expatriate. She enjoys a lot of freedom and her husband lets her get into the Hong Kong Wanchai bar scene where she eventually gets in contact with "ice" (a very pure form of methamphetamines like yaba). She gets addicted and her life starts falling apart. Sleepless nights dancing around in bars and playing cards with friends and so on... Selling her jewelries and rolex for more ice and cards...f_cking around with a well known ice-dealer and getting more and more crazy. Her husband tried with loving care to get her out of it but it was too late. She finally got pregnant from the drug dealer and started to steal my friend's money; this was enough for him. He kicked her out, filed a divorce and she had to leave Hong Kong. She went back to her family in Chiang Mai; the baby died one day after birth and the poor girl can't stop to using yaba. The last news I got from one of her brothers is that three weeks ago she committed suicide....
This episode makes me more aware how lucky I am with my Thai wife; happily together for six years now without any major crisis in our relationship...
Just say no to drugs other than Viagra!

Yaa baa as sold in Thailand is made in Burma and Laos and Cambodia. If it was pure methamphetamine it would be bad enough but it is often adulterated with heroin, strychnine (rat poison), gramoxone (weed killer), and any old toxic shit that the cookers feel like.
I've seen the lab results from the hospitals here, and I'm a chemist, so kindly don't tell me I don't know what I am talking about.
Yaa baa dealers deserve summary execution. Yaa baa users need to be hospitalized. Withdrawal is prolonged and agonizing. Again I have firsthand experience with this problem, involving people close to me, I'm sad to say.
